miracles now on dvd

the tv show we did "miracles of jesus" is now available on dvd. as of today feb 1 , you can buy the dvd at www.discoverystore.com . on discovery channel's website you can read more about the tv show and you can leave comments about the dvd. we want churches to buy the dvd and show it to their members and teach from it. this is an excellent way of educating people about the miracles of jesus and the life of jesus. it also has great footage of israel and could easily be used as illustrations for a message .
i have had many people say that they watched part of the show but did not realize there were 3 episodes. now you can watch the series. if you missed it or know someone who didnt see it , go now to discoverystore.com

It's too bad that the way that Jesus was portrayed was really shady. They made it seem as though he only had a certain amount of power and was less than God Himself. Also, Brock, you made it seem as though you weren't really all that confident in who Jesus was/is until you went on this little "journey". It's really too bad. The whole thing was a big disappointment.

Thanks for the interview this morning, Brock. I enjoyed getting to know a little about you. God bless you in your kingdom work. I'll stay in touch.

I totally disagree with the above comment. I was actually glad to see that the program was as pro-Christian as it was. To be even slightly biased toward Christianity is very different for a program on the Discovery Channel. I thought that it protrayed Jesus in a great light. Sure, it showed the opposing side as well. However, the opposing views were made to look almost stupid. If you saw any of the interviews Brock did, he said in everyone of them that this "journey" actually increased his faith...not that he didn't have any to begin with. It sounds like the above commentor needs to watch the program again.

Sorry, I didn't mean the above commenter, but the one before that. The other "anonymous" comment.

how dare the first anonymous comment say that you 'weren't confident in who Jesus was/is until you went on this little "journey"'. We are all or have been on some sort of journey trying to find God. if you haven't been on a journey, then you truley haven't experienced Him and are living in a christian bubble just sitting back in regurgitating what everyone has told you in church. you have to go out and seek His face, seek His message, and seek His life and then build on that in a relationship to be able to truely understand Him, to truley know Him. otherwise you are just living a life that really doesn't know Him. that makes me upset that someone would even begin to say that going on a journey to find out something new about God is 'too bad'.

I guess that the post that I tried to leave didn't make it. So, I am going to try again. I find it interesting how quickly people responded to my opinion and how much they took what I was saying out of context. To the post above, re-read what I wrote because I never said that taking a "journey" on one's faith is "too bad". I was saying in a generality that I thought it was too bad that the overall show wasn't didn't portray Jesus in a better light. I thought that bringing other people was a great idea and they cleared up things from a standpoint that people could relate to better. As far as me living in a "Christian bubble", try again. I love God and am a follower of Him, but we have to remember that not publicity for God is necessarily good if it's not done ot the fullest of our abilities. I didn't feel as though the special was just that. In my opinion, which I am entitiled to, Jesus was portrayed as weak and somewhat shady. Like He wasn't all that we crack Him up to be. And I didn't feel as though Brock necessarily reinforced God's power and reality as well as he could have. There's where I am disappointed. I am not attacking Brock nor am I attacking his relationship with God. But when it comes to giving something the best that we could when the God of the Universe is on "trial" persay, it just wasn't there.

Don't you hate anonymous comments? It's very cowardly in my opinion. None of you know what goes on behind the scenes of TV. Brock doesn't have much say in it at all. I was pleased that they portrayed Jesus well at all. I don't mind if they show other people's views. Brock was supposed to take a neutral look at what Jesus was like...he did that. He put his beliefs on the shelf in order to look at Jesus in an unbiased way. He explored other explanations of the miracles and then would always come back around to the fact that Jesus did indeed do miracles. I wonder if the first "anonymous" commentor actually watched all 3 hours of the program.

No matter what you say first "anonymous" commentor...I do see it as a personal attack on Brock Gill.

Just stumbled onto this blog and found this comment string intriguing. So, I thought I'd leave an "Anonymous" comment just for the heck of remaining anonymous.

There's a lot of immaturity going around, let alone the lack of respect. I'm remaining anonymous just to be a jerk, based on everyone's complaints about people posting as anonymous. But what if someone has a legitimate reason for protecting their identity? We don't know what this person's situation is, and if they actually told us, some may be embarrassed by the way they responded.

I don't understand why we as a church are so passionate about spreading the message of the gospel, and want people to listen to our message, but we aren't willing to dialogue with those individuals about their thoughts. Instead, we respond by saying, "You're personally attacking us."

The answer to saving the world, is not by "convincing" people into following Jesus. It's by loving people into following Jesus. For some reason, I just don't see the love in the "You're Personally Attacking My Husband No Matter What You Say" type of comments. Where's the love?

If Brock were to bump into someone at one of his shows, and that individual came up afterward just to say, "Hey, I don't agree with anything you said, and wasn't very impressed." How would Brock respond? For some reason, I can't see him saying anything along the lines of, "Hey, you're attacking me man and I don't appreciate it. I don't care what you say."

The truth is, I'd hope that Brock does care what that person said. And I'd also hope that Brock would respond by loving that individual, despite the lack of love on that person's part.

I guess if someone came to my blog and said, "Hey, we didn't like your show, and here's why," I'd at least respond by saying, "Hey, thanks for taking the time to at least watch our show and give us your thoughts."

Supposedly, the show was created for those who were searching, but apparently, if they weren't "converted" in the three hours of the show, we should say "Screw you...stop attacking us."

P.S. Sarcasm is a real turn off. Wanna turn someone away from Jesus? And even if you aren't sharing your faith, it's a great way to piss someone off and cause an argument. If that's your goal, then use lots of sarcasm. In fact, everyone should be more like me...I'm never sarcastic. But then again, you have no idea who I am. I remain..."Anonymous."

P.P.S. The above comment was entirely sarcastic. And now that you've read it, it seems like I'm a jerk, huh? If so, I've made my point.

P.S. #3 How do you know that we have "no idea" what goes on behind the scenes of Television? What an unwise assumption...

P.S. #4 (The final one.)

Why doesn't Brock respond to these comments and speak for himself? Does his wife always protect him instead?
