gingham dog

i am taking 3 days off in florida before our show. we decided to drive down early and enjoy some sun. all four of us(auny, stephy, and her friend kayla, and me) had a blast driving here. we were finding things that were funny and we played jokes on people all the way here. we also found random things and added them to our vocabulary. we saw a sign that simply said "gingham dog" so we added that to our sentences at every opportunity. what does it mean? whatever you want it to mean.
we asked a guy at the gas station in georgia if we were in georgia or kentucky. he got quite a kick out of us. he had deer painted on his big pickup truck. so i asked him if he liked reindeer. he stopped laughing long enough to think about the question and answer, then i said goodbye. we were cracking up at their response. they thought we were crazy out of our minds. and we thought they were "gingham dog".
