gas prices

i am not happy about the gas prices. if you have to drive more than 1 mile per day then you know what i mean. usually the gas soars during the summer months. i guess the oil executives thought they could get a big laugh if they raised the prices early this year. funny guys. they are funny. as they sit back and get rich we kill ourselves paying high gas prices. for those who have to live by a budget these soaring prices mess up all hopes of balancing that budget. i just wanted to thank all the greedy oil executives and politicians who empower them. here is a big shout out to you guys.
i dont know if this will help but i have been reading that if we stop buying gas from exxon and mobil then we will cripple their ability to raise the prices. dont know if it will work but i am gonna try it. from now on i am buying gas from the little guys.
does anyone agree? does anyone have any more info?????

from Sara_ I so totally agree!!! But I can't drive yet, so I can only imagine how expensive the prices will be when i am driving. My mom said gas was once 40cents when she was a child. Where is the good life anymore in driving?

Um, well, the thing about Exxon is they have the best gas. At least here it's that way. Like, it costs a cent or two more, but it gives you more miles to the gallon than the other alternatives. but maybe that's just here.

haha..down here in Houston Metro Area I've found Shell to be the best gas. But their prices are usually quite a bit more than the others. Although as the prices were beginning to drop after the hurricanes a couple stations around Conroe dropped to 1.85/gallon!!! They ran out pretty quickly. Even though they were in the boons.

I dont' know any of you people types! But I don't mind, brothers and sisters in Christ! If you guys don't mind me being here I'd like to stay up on these topics and whatnot

i'll buy from whoever will help to get the prices down.

on gas quality though, i saw a special on 20/20 where they interviewed specialists in the field and EVERYONE said, you are getting the same quality gas at whatever gas station you go to. EXXON doesn't have any better gas than WAL-MART or vice versa. 87 Octane is 87 octane any way you pump it. the bigger compaines just use propaganda and words like TECHRON to make you think you're getting something better when you're really not.

that being said, buy it from the little guys, especially if they have the better prices.

I noticed a sign last night at a shell that told of up to 10% ethanol in the gasoline. Honestly, there are some places that have cheesy gas. Like this place down the road. The gas simply doesn't last as long as others. PowerFuel...or something like that. I won't buy there anymore!

I have heard that rumor about not buying gas from Exxon and mobil also. I say, it's worth a try!!! anything is better than $3.00 a gallon! I heard on the news today that it will top out at about $3.50 before the summer is over!
UUUUGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!

someone should research this and report back the results. is the gas the same? does it run better from exxon or is it placebo?

on the 20/20 special, EVERY specialist that they asked told them the same thing. Most all of the gas you get comes from the same places and was all refined together before it was dispersed to the different retailers.

it was funny, because they interviewed people on the street and they were so ademate that the expensive gas was better.

i'm convinced that it is placebo, but i really do want to see more research because it's interesting to me. it's like giving someone 2 different glasses of the same water and them being ademate that the one on the left tastes better because you told them it was "purified".
