"christian rock is from the devil"
i remember hearing that at church when i grew up. i heard people speak on it and saw books written about it. it sounds so ridiculous but people actually made their ministry goal to expose the evil of rock music. i used to think, "what makes it evil if they are giving god glory?". apparently the beat of the drums makes it evil. thats what they said.
thinking back about that nonsense i realize how much time has been wasted on stupid things that dont matter. there have been way too much arguments about things that dont matter. this may sound elementary to some people but the truth is, we could spend much more time and energy on reaching people. maybe we should let that be a reminder of what we are here for.

There is something scary about something new. In Mozart's time the same arguments were made about him because his music was so new. And despite the movie that was made, he was a godly man with a stable marriage.
Unfortunately, that seems to be human nature and we need to God's help to overcome that type of prejudice.

I have a friend whp stopped going to church because of her sister. Her sister didn't like our church because we played w/ insturments. i mean... it seems like we are worried about petty stuff like playing music during worship, or wearing hats in church , but don't seem so worried with saving people.
ha, I saw Kirk Cameron do something on this. But yea, anyhow. Have you seen or heard of Westborough Baptist Church? That's what this makes me think of. It's so sad how much hate they preach in the name of Jesus. We focus on such trivial things sometimes.
yes is ridiculous, those people just have an other rhythm to sing God and pray. i know people who hear those music, and he is so kind. even more then the majority who hear other kind of music.
and what do people knows. they only knows judge people and said the others bad things, but they dont look in his interior to see how they are.
the thing is, we will always have differences. we should put them aside to have unity. with that unity there is power. in unity we can reach the masses

i think the only christian rock that is from the devil is... oh well you know who i'm talking about, because according to you "she's always in the truck saying 'play that one song...it's my favorite'"
i hope this works out... ...im from Panama City, right now Im in Brazil and i found out about Brock Gill by watching here in Brazil the show about the Jesus miracles. Loved the work and the research done in the show, so i looked up for Brock on the Internet, and i dont really know why am i writing right now, but i felt pretty much compelled to just do it (yes, like a Nike ad), cuz it gives me this great feeling to know there's somebody in the world, doing this amazing work in the name of God (Jesus and the Holy Spirit)... ...i don't know Brock, haven't seen one of his shows, or either know much about him... ...but what i do know about him is that his soul is one of God favorites angels.
Keep up the increible work, you are doing just fine.

I ve listened to christian rock for many years,bands like Stryper have been a real testimony to me,they show they are the real thing.examples of other bands God has used im my life are Petra,Newsboys,Tree 63,Tourniquet,they are the positive side of rock music.
But rock music has a very dark side,bands like cannibal corpse,deicide,slayer promote blasphemy,murder,rape child molestation and the list goes on and on,these types of band make me sick and should be banned in America.Parents need to wake up and no what their kids are listening to,not just bury their heads in the sand.
