reba mcentire said on a recent awards show that if the dixie chicks could sing with their foot in their mouth then she could host the awards show. most of you remember when the dixie chicks got in trouble for talking bad about the president. they have a new record coming out soon that is said to be "unapologetic". here is what i have to say about that. first of all, its a free country. they can say or sing anything they choose. but guess what? you have a choice of buying it or not. personally i dont do politics. i dont like politics in my entertainment. i dont watch movies with political agendas. i try to stay away. there is a time for it, but when i am trying to be entertained i dont want politics. if you dont like someones politics in your face(or ears), then dont buy their records and dont watch their movies, and dont read their books.

from Sara_ i don't enjoy politics either. with the president's speeches and stuff, i don't really understand what they're doing! it's so confusing. i agree with you brock, but at least i'm not an adult and i don't have to vote! hehe. (yet)

I hugely support our president, but I also love the Dixie Chicks music. What a dilema!

I dislike the Dixie chicks. Alot. I think they show no respect for our country as a whole when they bad mouth the leadership in another country. Chicken?
I don't think anything can be considered entertaining that has politics in it. Like, political science is my minor, and I love it , but only in its proper arena.
Because of the media and the press in our country you cant go to the bathroom without someone saying something about your bathroom habits. Its sad that we have to watch what we say so much in order that we are not taken out of context.
On another note, the Sherrifs Dept in our area does not give out speeding tickets so that the Sherrif wont lose some votes, now that is politics
i hate politics. i hate when some actor starts getting political so they can get noticed. sometimes they think they are experts on it. they should be reminded that they only pretended to work at the whitehouse.
i personally think its a great venue for reaching people you'd otherwise never get to.
