electronic babysitters
we are now seeing kids in the youth group who have grown up watching a screen on the back of their carseat and at the foot of their bed their entire lives. people have been conditioned to watch a screen for entertainment and information. you cant go anywhere without seeing a tv. what bothers me a little bit is, what does that do for kids. they spend so much of their time watching that screen that i wonder about the development of social skills. these days its easier for parents to turn on a dvd and let that entertain the kid for a few hours. im not saying its wrong. i dont know anything about raising kids. i just wonder what the longterm effects are. how does it change our culture. what will kids be like in 10 years, 20 years? recently at a show i looked out before i took the stage and i saw dozens of people with their heads bowed. they were playing with some sort of pocket electronic device. they werent watching the action on stage. at that moment it made me think. i wonder how bored people are sitting in our youth programs.

makes me wonder how bored they are..and moreseo, how will we fight that?
i know!!! i ask me the same question! and that's the reason that obesity is a very common disease. You can do everything with a button, and later you will do everything with your voice.
The mothers don't want they childrens play in the street because is dangerous, but they are makeing they life sedentary. and if you grow in a sedentary place is very difficult to change the way of your life. so they will be sedentary forever and they will get seek of all the sedentary problems. i hate it!
There are disabled persons that technology now make them able to do everything. and is ok. but every one have all this comfort things and now no one can go to the corner shop to buy a chewing gum walking!
is awful!!
