meet jessica
jessica interned with us this summer. she is from a little place called texas. she is a very cool kid. here is why.
jessica graduated high school early so she could fast track her college education because she has work to do. she feels called to do evangelism for teenagers. she is very passionate about her faith and her calling. she is eager to learn and experience the world. she is like a sponge soaking things up when around ministry. i can see something different about this girl. she isnt like most people her age. most youth group kids she knows are wasting their lives away with drinking and smoking and selfish behavior. she has chosen a life of holiness, which means she doesnt fit in very well. im glad she doesnt fit in. im glad she sticks out. we need more people to stick out. i want to see more teenagers get serious about their faith and quit acting like God is for later in life. i see the hand of God on jessicas life. i know he has a big plan for her life. i watched her this summer as she did devotionals for youth groups at camp and she was so effective. teenagers today think they have no reponsibilty. they dont even use their spiritual gifts. i hope that teenagers everywhere will follow jessica and raise the standard.
teenagers are you with me? if so then go to comment here. jessica will read this. and she will be encouraged. so lets here some comments

auny and i love you very much jessica. we miss you.
auny says that you remind her of when she was in high school. that is very good. keep going, and touch the world, starting right now
Ditto what Brock said. Jessica is an amazing girl. She loves the Lord and others. She has different priorities than most people her age. Jessica wants to live for the Lord. She has fun while she's doing it too. She's a blast! I miss you Jephy!
What an awesome testimony about your life, Jessica! I don't know you, but I do know Brock and Auny! If they think you are special enough to blog about, then you must be AWESOME! Keep up the amazing work for God!
P.S. I love your comments!
Y'all are amazing. This means..so much to me. Thank you.
I love Jessica. This girl has been posting on a message board I know for some time. Her posts always shine. She's a most beautiful person. I love seeing how she's finding this down-to-earth, real person at the center of her. It keeps shining brighter.
Hi Jessica
I don't know you either, but look forward to meeting you some day. I kept noticing your comments on Brock's blog daily, and I finally asked Brock who this person was. He told me how cool you were.
I am so proud of you. Just today at church, we were discussing this very thing--before reading Brock's blog. I told this group how Brock had decided, while in high school, to take a stand for God even if he stood alone. And by the time he graduated, so many had "come over to his side," that it was then cool to be a Christian instead of doing the party scene. We ended up with an awesome youth group.
Keep standing firm. My motto is to "live so you have no regrets." It sounds like you are doing just that.
By the way, though, I still need to talk to you about that ghetto basher of a car that you helped us find to rent while we were in Los Angeles!!!!! For those of you who do not know--it had been spray painted, was missing a hubcap, had no shocks, and overheated on us. But it was cheap!!!!
Linda Gill (Brock's mom)
Jessica, I have enjoyed reading your comments on Brock's blog (and Auny's) for some time. I thought that you were the one who had interned with them this summer. You just keep on serving the Lord and let you light shine! If you remind Auny of herself when she was in High School, then girl, you are awesome! Just keep your chin up and watch out for Satan!

I like Jessica too. She gives me much needed lessons on MySpace, Christian music, and topiaries. Anyone who has such an expansive knowledge as that is, well, quite impressive.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Jessica and she truly is an amazing girl. I know she will use her talents for God's kingdom no matter where God places her. As for being an outcast... this isn't even our home. We are all aliens here and there should always be a tension... a feeling that we are not where we belong... so long as we are here on this earth.
Y'all all basically rock my face off. Um, Scott, I'm very proud you remembered topiary.
Brock's mom- (I don't know why I prefer "Brock's mom" to "Mrs. Gill") I felt badly when Brock told me about the car that picked y'all up in LA. But, I was glad it all worked out. Hah, I just googled for rental places, and it was the first result!
go jessica! that is so cool that you stand out like that. i see your comments everyday and always have wondered who you are. now i know! that is so cool. good job! kudos for you~
You do know I am joking about the car, don't you????? It got us there and it made for a fun story to tell.
Thanks for all you did for us. We might have been "thumbing it" without you!

Yay for Jessica!! You impress me more and more...
Haha, I knew you were kidding. :)
Salena! You're basically the coolest kid, ever.
