church people
i have friends who are catholic and i have friends that are charismatic and friends who are everything in between. tonight we were talking and we realized that people are always talking about the things that make us different. we should focus on the things that make us the same. i dont claim a denomenational affiliation. i just claim faith in jesus. who cares about the differences. lets focus on jesus. do i sound idealistic and too simple? i hope so

YES!! YES YES YES. i think the same way as you. actually i read a book.... by Dalai Lama, about that. It's very interesting i think everybody must read it. i have it in my book list, is: Ethics for a new millenium, i think...
it talks about the religion union, because even so everyone pray for a God and are looking for the same things. Just diferents names and figures but at last is the same. and even so, there are very religious person that are the most evil person in the hole world... so you can't blame a religion about the people character.
actually i'm catholic.
PS: your "spanish post" are very funny, i laugh a lot!
practice your spanish muchachitooo!
I feel the same way, and was pondering this eariler today, which was the second or third time this week I thought about it!!
that was for you barbara. el mucho bueno espanol
I think it's important to not narrow your associations to only "Christians", as Christians I think we spend way too much time with other Christians. Jesus spent a lot of his time with the lost/unsaved. It's hard to spread the Good News of Christ's salvation when all the people we are around already know about it. It's important to have Christian friends (Jesus had his disciples as his buddies!).
As long as it's about JESUS, I think God wants us to work together to spread the news.
Not sure what the Dalai Lama is all about - but not sure he believes in the God who has told us that Christ is the only way to God.
I'm all about simplicity. Too often we make things seem more difficult than they actually are.
All we need is Jesus and Chocolate...
Haha...I'm now addicted to the Cocoa Tree...I don't know if I can go back to Bham where I must live without it.
