hit and run
auny and i were sitting at a redlight last night when we got hit from behind. we pulled over to talk about it with the other parties involved and, yep the car took off. some lady thought she could get away with causing a 3 car pile up, and she did. no one was hurt so it wasnt a big deal. oh well what do ya do. just a little hit and run. i guess i could get mad but it wouldnt help so i will make some jokes about it and get over it. what would you do?

Quite honestly, I wouldhave tried to get her license plate number or see if there were witnesses. Anyone with the gall to just speed off like that is completely self-absorbed and ultimately dangerous. How did she know she hadn't seriously hurt someone? What if she had? Obviously that didn't concern her.
People who do things like that infuriate me. Be a grown-up, face the music and accept the responsibility, for goodness sake. If you're willing to have the privilege of driving, ya gotta play by the rules and admit to your screwups when they happen.

P.S. Are you and your wife all right?
She was probably afaid to "face the music" there can be lots of reasons.
My family on our way to church got into an accident, because the road was slippery and the brakes just slided. We hit a taxi cab. His car wasn't damaged at all. It had those black pad on the back. No one was hurt.
He wanted 50 bucks, then we asked for his insurance and he just got on on and left.
He probably didn't have insurance or had an expired license. It could have been anything.
You'd think that after 11 years of the insurance business, I'd get used to hearing about situations like this.
But I don't think I'll ever get used to it.
This same situation happened to my husband twice in a matter of two weeks time last year.
I hope you and Auny are okay I know sometimes just the stiffness is the worst part. I'll keep you guys in my prayers.
ok, so I know that was a rhetorical question so I won't answer that! but glad to hear you are fine!
we are fine.. no one was hurt at all. he laughed about it.. kinda thought it was funny to be honest. it was so wierd that she left we were like ok whatever. the other guy stayed and we talked. he was so relieved that i wasnt hurt that he didnt know what to do. i was like its cool man your car isnt hurt and i dont care about mine so go have a coke and a smile.
irish girl makes me smile. i wish you would have been there to get her license #
i don't know... i don't know how i react in that situation... i think i probably do nothing.
If I had been there, Brock, I probably would have tried to chase her down on foot, blathering blue language halfway along. I have a wee bit of temper...(heh).
The important thing is that no one got hurt, and nothing was irreparably damaged. So, onward and upward, and may the runaway driver find her battery drained over the weekend and her flagrant selfishness drowned in a sea of remorse...
