last night on tbn

i had a great time last night. for those of you who dont know, we did a tv show on tbn last night. it will re-air today at 4pm central time. it actually went really well. i have some really funny stories and some good times that i will remember forever. the show was hosted by luis palau, the billy graham of latin america. i really respect this man. he has been doing evangelism for 40 years. he has a strong ministry and i love being a part of what he does. the other guest on the show was billy zabka. he was the bad kid on the karate kid movies. he is a very cool guy. he is a believer, and really lives out his faith. i plan to talk more about this soon on my blog. once again, if you missed the show, i encourage you to watch the re-run today at 4pm central. the program was really good. it was different in a good way. to get updates on when i will be on tv make sure you give us your email address at our website, www.brockgill.com . we will give you updates, with out the junkmail

tv tonight with luis palau

after having an incredible weekend of ministry in oklahoma, i am now in the miami area for a couple of days. we are working on a tv show with luis palau. it will be on the air tonight on tbn. check it out if you can.
the weekend was an unforgettable time. the folks we were with in oklahoma were awesome to be with. after lunch yesterday we had to fly to florida. out plane was delayed in oklahoma. then in houston, it was delayed again. we were very late to take off but finally got here. then we thought they had lost our luggage, but they finnally got it to us after another hour or so. we got to the hotel at around 1:30am and of course they couldnt find our reservation. it all worked out though. i got some great rest and now i am ready to go do a tv show.

the jesus painter

saturday night i was with a guy who is known as the jesus painter. he paints these huge paintings of jesus. it is really good stuff. tonight he painted as the band played. he did 2 paintings in about 30 minutes. i was blown away at the talent. it would be a painting of one thing then right at the end he would turn it into something else. very cool stuff. he has a website, www.jesuspainter.com. go check out his stuff at the site. you will be impressed. you can book him to come and perform and speak at your event. i really liked this guy. i think you will too. go look at some of his paintings and see for yourself.

what do rock stars listen to?

i have a friend who did some video work for the band 3 doors down. as he was talking to the lead singer he asked him what kind of music he listens to. he said "you would be surprised". so they went onto the bus and began to look at cds. guess who his top choice was? a little band known as third day! how cool is that? its wild how a major rock star listens to christian music. apparantly he grew up around the church and became a fan of third day. i guess my point is, do your best at whatever you do. you never know how it will influence someone. and how they will influence the world.

preparing to leave... for a month

today is our last day at home for a while. we are going to be busy for about a month doing shows from oklahoma to miami to st louis. i have one flight from orlando to alaska. not a short flight. preparing to leave is a big chore. we have a ton of things to do before we leave. when we go away for that long, things at home pile up. when we get back we will have even more stuff to do. our days off sometime are consumed with work that has piled up. this is going to be a great trip and i am not complaining. we have some exciting things to do this trip. but the trick is how to pack for florida and alaska in the same suitcase. here we go.

fun times at the dmv

yesterday i had to take a paper to the dmv. i was there for over 3 hours. it was awesome. here is a list of things i found made the time pass by a little faster. try these next time you are at the dmv. it will become an unforgetable experience.


top ten things to do while waitng at the dmv.

1. read a book... out loud
2. make motor noises
3. talk on the cell phone pretending to make a drug deal
4. listen to music, with or with out headphones... and sing along
5. practice your latest yoga moves
6. lay down, take a nap, feel free to snore
7. pretend you are a reporter and interview everyone else in there
8. clip your toenails
9. clean your gun or sharpen your knife
10. take pictures of all the smiling faces

5 for 5 in cincinatti

i have been to do shows in cincinatti 5 times. each time it has snowed while i was there. what is the deal. does it always snow there? we actually had a great time there this time. i try to avoid cold weather as much as i can. but we were able to walk around downtown and see the city. we ate at a great indian restaurant. later that night we ate at another great place called "bellas". the shows went great, the new stunt went awesome and it snowed again. sometimes i think snow follows me. i go to miami next week. if it snows there im gonna freak.

you can go to church in your underwear

sometimes i cant go to church because i am traveling, but now i have found a way to go anytime. i just go to www.pclive.org. this is my church online. you can see the service anytime. it is great. if i miss a part of the pastors series then i just go to pclive.org and watch what i miss. i have had people tell me lately that they are watching it. it is a cool church for sure. yesterday i was at church doing a thing called "brockwalking". but i missed some of the service so now i will just watch it online.
this is a great way to extend the ministry of any church. we have thousands of people who watch our service every week. people from all over the world. if you get sick and cant get outta bed then come to my church at www.pclive.org. and you dont even have to get dressed.

micro chips

i like watching weird news. last night i watched a guy who has received 2 micro chips into his skin. he is doing it because its fun . it holds his identity so he doesnt have to have keys for his car or home or even his computer. he just waves his hand over the lock and it identifies him as the user and obeys the command. i am sure some people are saying that the world is coming to an end. well maybe it is. i have heard for years that one day we will have to all have a chip in our hand to even buy food. well , not me. i dont think i want to depend on it. if someone wants to steal the car or break into the house they could just cut off the persons hand and use it as a key. sounds kinda funny huh? maybe it will catch on but i dont see people rushing out to get a micro chip injected into their hands. they say it only takes 30 seconds to put it in there. i actually watched the entire process on tv. seems scary and weird. i say, just get a good key chain and remember your pass word dude. and save yourself a trip to the computer doctor... is that what you call him?

i am doing a new stunt on this tour that requires a motorcycle. anyone who knows me very well knows i am a huge fan of motorcycles. so it is natural for me to use the things i like as part of the show. when fly racing heard about me doing this stunt they wanted to sponsor me. i gladly accepted. i got hooked up with helmets, boots, pants, jerseys, and gloves. it is definitely some great gear. this was a big deal for me to get sponsored by fly racing. usually you dont get sponsored unless you are a professional dirt bike rider. due to the fact that i am in front of so many people each month, they decided to outfit me with gear. so now when you see me on stage, i will be looking sharp with my new gear. sometimes God chooses to bless us in the most unexpected ways. this time for me it is getting some top of the line gear from fly racing. yeeha

power, protection, provision

people ask me sometimes how to pray for me. i tell them remember the 3 "p's". ppp is how i remember.
6 years ago i felt that i needed to start praying for 3 things as often as i could. i began to pray for God's power, protection, and provision in my life and ministry.
i believe that it is only because of the power of God that anyone's life is changed in my ministry. without Him no one would be rescued from sin. no one will be set free from drugs and addiction, or the misery that people live in.
we need God to protect us from all of the junk in this world. we travel thousands of miles each month and each mile needs to be covered by Gods protection. we experience the attack of satan often. we need protection at every moment.
what we do is very expensive. we have big props and lots of equipment. it takes a semi truck and trailer to haul it everywhere. it costs us more than we make sometimes. therefore we need God to provide.
we put our faith in God only. thats why we pray often for his power, protection, and provision. i am asking you to pray for us in the same way.

"thank help you me"

last night after our valentines date we pulled over for gas. as i was filling up auny began to pray for the 2 guys who were obviously broke down. next thing she saw was me headed over to talk to them. it was 2 guys from mexico. they were headed to alabama to find work. the car was overheated and it was getting late. i knew God wanted to use me to help them out. i bought some coolant and put it in the radiator. with their broken english and my even more broken spanish we were able to communicate. they were tired from driving all day and didnt know what to do so i took them to a hotel and got them a room. this morning i met up with them and gave them some food and sent them on their way to alabama. in all it cost me $82 but ya know it was well worth it. the best part about valentines day was being able to help someone out. this morning when i said goodbye to these guys , the one who could speak some english said "thank help you me".
i want to challenge everyone to share some love with more than your sweetheart today. there are people all around us who need ministry. open your eyes and watch God use you.
even though i didnt have a lot of money i knew God wanted me to help. right after we said goodbye we opened our mail and found a check for $82.

today is valentines day

today is valentines day for me. i will be on the road tommorrow so today is valentines day. we are going to have fun celebrating it a day early. we will go to a chocolate shop, then an art exhibit, then go eat at a nice noncrowded no reservations needed restaurant, and then eat more chocolate. what better day to celebrate valentines day than today. many times we are out of town on special days so we have to work them in at other times.
if you have a special someone try to celebrate valentines day or an anniversary on another day. its fun. it feels like you are breaking the rules. just as long as you dont forget and try to do it the day after. that is just lame.

pray for your pastor

when is the last time you prayed for your pastor? there is a lot of junk in this world. pastors are attacked in every way possibe. sometimes we forget that. we need to pray for them when we can. take some time and remember how important and helpful your pastor is. now pray for him. he needs it, i promise.

grilling in the snow

i had big plans for last night. i had friends coming over to eat steaks. i was not going to let the snow slow me down. as i began to prep the grill the rain poured and turned into snow. for 24 hours i had been marinating steaks and chicken and getting things perfect for grilling. i love to grill out and nothing was gonna stop me.
the steaks were amazing. heres how i did it. get a ribeye and brush it with olive oil. then add seasoning:garlic powder, salt, peppercorn, montreal steak seasoning, and a little love.then the secret tenderizing technique, kiwi. slice up the kiwi and place them on the steaks overnight. grill them with the kiwi on top. it doesnt effect the flavor but it will tenderize a brick. use charcoal if you want flavor. and then ... eat up.

paparazzi

i dont like the paparazzi. i think they are greedy and cruel. if you have ever watched the show on vh1 you know what i am talking about. they will sneak into private clubs and even homes to take a picture of someone who doesnt want to have it taken. they will hassle someone till they get mad because they know that that picture is worth more than them saying "cheese".
most of us dont have to worry about the paparazzi sneaking up to our window. but , i have a funny story. when i was filming in malta, we were at the mediterranean film studio. this place is a film studio where they do movies that have a water scene. they have done films like troy and the white squall. as i was there the paparazzi showed up and began taking pictures of us. i thought it was funny because they had no clue who we were. steven speilberg was filming "munich" while we were there. i guess the paparazzi thought they were going to take a picture of a big star. i bet they were disappointed when they developed those pictures.
the funniest part was when they were sneaking up to the top of the hill to look down at what we were doing. i walked over near them and began taking pictures of them. then i gave a big forrest gump wave. maybe i will end up in the tabloids??

team faith motocross

there is one thing i love to do when i am not on stage, motocross. i love to ride my dirt bike. most everybody knows that about me. i also like to watch motocross on tv. recently i have been watching the new season of supercross and arenacross. if you keep up with it at all you know that this is the most exciting season ever. but i want to actually highlight something right now in the arenacross circuit. the team and ministry of team faith. this is something you should all know about. these guys are going out and racing dirt bikes and actually winning races. then on the podium they are giving much credit and glory to God. they dont have the time to give a whole testimony but there is enough said every time to remind people of why they race and gives people a chance to think about God for a second. it is done without being obnoxious or annoying. i am amazed at how they are taking advantage of so many opportunities. they have such a platform. if you go to an arenacross race this year to see kevin johnson race you will see the team faith race rig, the team faith freestyle motocross show at half time, and a group of guys who are passionate about reaching people.

the guys from narnia

yesterday i got to chat with the creators of the chronicles of narnia. they were christian guys who were working for disney. i got to hear the stories of how they made the movie from start to finish. one guy had an idea and began to talk about it around the office at disney but it was never accepted. after a while, he met another guy who knew a guy and then talked to another guy and, you get the idea. these guys were able to make a movie that has powerful symbolism. now this movie is going worldwide. God totally made this thing happen.
as they ready the world for the movie, they realized most places had never heard of c.s. lewis. so in places like china and other athiest countries the government is introducing the books into the schools for required reading before the movie is released. how cool is that? atheist countries reading c.s. lewis. thanks to disney doing this movie, look what God has done. look at the power in the arts.
we got to see the "chronicles of narnia" dvd. it will be released in april. they showed us some behind the scenes stuff and it was very interesting. the movie had to be translated into many other languages. they explained to us how it was done. we listened to the voices in about 20 different languages and it all sounded like the same person's voice. how can they all sound like the original? they casted people from around the world until they got an almost exact match in every language. it was amazing.
i encourage you to get the dvd on april 4th. if you liked the movie you will be interested in the dvd. oh yeah, quick note . this film is put out by disney. (guess that boycott is over?)

arts conference day 1

i was at an arts conference yesterday called "recreate". it is really good to go and get some good teaching. yesterday i heard barbara nicolisi speak about art and culture. she is a screen writer in hollywood. she had an interesting perspective that i was soaking up. in a nutshell, she said the art should be beautiful. otherwise no one will want it. the church is the patron of the arts. but if you ask anyone on the street,"who is the patron..?" no one would say "the church". hollywood is the hub of global culture.the church should make a decision to make good art. everything the church should does should be done with excellence. but, the church has a reputation for doing art very badly. the music,drama,movies, have been the worst on the planet,according to the world. they laugh at how bad it is sometimes. if we have a message wrapped in bad art then the message is missed.
we should do our best to be the best. we need to spend the money and the time to do things right. we let 2nd best be acceptable. think about how powerful the passion of the christ was. same message but great art. see the result.that is an extreme example that should prove the point. i will keep this short. i am sure that i could write about this for hours. leave a comment, good or bad, and i will continue on this later if i need to.

big new stunt/illusion

we did it. this weekend we were to perform a big new stunt/illusion on this tour and the odds were against us. i was sick and we had limited time to rehearse but in the nick of time we pulled it off.
i was working with the BEST team on the planet. it was only because of the people working with me that we were able to perform this new illusion. they worked theirselves overtime and made it happen.
the stunt/illusion involves a motorcycle, a dissapearance, and a huge surprise ending. you have got to see it. right now it can only be seen at the believe student conference tour. for info on tickets go to www.brockgill.com. its alot of fun.

im a sick boy

today i start a big weekend of shows. i only have one problem, i am sick.

this has been a rough week. it has been one thing after another. i had such a great weekend. i saw lives that were changed and it was amazing. but as soon as the weekend was over, uhhg. yesterday was actually a good day but i felt sick. pray for me to get well as i begin my tour this weekend. and pray that God will use me in a powerful way.thanks

miracles now on dvd

the tv show we did "miracles of jesus" is now available on dvd. as of today feb 1 , you can buy the dvd at www.discoverystore.com . on discovery channel's website you can read more about the tv show and you can leave comments about the dvd. we want churches to buy the dvd and show it to their members and teach from it. this is an excellent way of educating people about the miracles of jesus and the life of jesus. it also has great footage of israel and could easily be used as illustrations for a message .
