"brock, brock, brock"

as i was introduced on stage for friday nights show the emcee asked the crowd to chant brock, brock, brock. the problem was there was alot of kids under twelve in the audience which is very rare. and also there was a 2 minute video that started at that point. so for over 2 minutes straight the crowd chanted "brock, brock, brock". actually the under 12 crowd was chanting. they chanted throughout the entire video until i was on stage halfway through my first routine. it was one of the funniest,craziest moments i can remember on stage. i felt kinda funny listening to people chant my name. but i couldnt stop it. so i just sat backstage and laughed in amazement.

i dont know what to say about this

many of you may know that a movie about 9-11 is coming out this weekend titled "united 93". i was invited to the movie premier tonight. i dont know what to say about this movie. words to describe the feeling i had watching the movie are as follows: pain, disgust, hate, anger. mix these feelings together and that would be the emotion i feel after watching "united 93".
i do not know what to tell you. i had the intention of watching it and reporting back to you guys with a profound review of the movie. i dont have that for you. i dont know if you should watch it. i dont know if it is helpful. i dont know if it is worth it. i dont know if it is too soon. i just dont know. i do know that my night has been ruined.
however, it was interesting historically. i learned some things that i had never known about what happened that horrific day.
the movie comes out this weekend. should you go see it? i dont know. ask yourself if you want to relive a small part of september 11, 2001

worth the risk

at the end of my show i have been doing a new stunt/illusion called "the moto transpo". i also do a message with it that is themed "worth the risk". it goes something like this.
there are risks in what i do but it is worth it. there are other risks that i have had to take in my faith, such as my friendships, my reputation, and even my job. but its worth it.
i encourage people to live for jesus 100%. they will risk their reputations and friendships but its worth it. the disciples risked it all but they changed the world forever. there is risk in living for jesus but its worth it.
afterwards there was a family who came up to me this weekend. they said they did a ministry at motorcycle races. racing is very dangerous and they recently had a rider get severly injured. they were questioning whether they should continue such a high risk ministry. after hearing my message it was clear they had heard from God. for them to be able to reach those riders at the races, it is worth the risk.
pray for those guys as they risk it to reach people that arnt easily reached. i think their name was "faster for the master".

i met a ninja today

he wasnt a real ninja but he dressed like it and he did do kung fu. i was at the park at this picnic today when we saw a man dressed in a red suit. he was swinging around a bamboo stick. he also had a fan that he was waving around. of course i had to go talk to him. he told me that if i learned how to use the fan i would be able to defend myself if someone was trying to stab me. he also showed me the proper way to swing the stick. he said that if i am in a fight i could use this stick to take the person down. i feel so prepared now. the next time i get in a fight i am gonna say "hey, can you hold on so i can go retrieve my bamboo stick?".

new stuff

today we were having a meeting and talking about new stuff. new material for the show that is. i am excited about new routines i will begin to break in this summer. we are brainstorming for new stuff for the fall tour. if anyone has ideas then lemme know. i have some cool ideas but i would love to hear from you guys as to what you think is cool. what would you like to see me do????

free puppies

my neighbor has some dain bramage. he had an accident a few years ago and was left disabled. but he is a cool guy. he doesnt work so he has lots of free time. he reminds me of kramer from seinfeld. yesterday he told us that he had 9 wolves. he didnt know what to do with them so he went to wal-mart parking lot and told everyone that they were huskys and gave em all away.
if you have a husky dog that is hard to train and eats alot and bites everyone, check again it might be a wolf

thanks for the laugh

after doing a tv show for discovery channel about the miracles of jesus i get people giving me things that pertain to the subject. some things are great to read and others just make me laugh. here is one that made me crack up. professor moron nof (his real name is doron) from florida believes that jesus never walked on water but he actually walked on floating pieces of ice. are you kidding me? he says through some study and statistics he has a this theory of ice walking. ok, lets think about this. how dumb would jesus half to be to try to float across the sea of galilee on a piece of ice? he would not be able to steer it or control where it was going. how did he catch up to the boat with the disciples? some may say well the sea of galilee was frozen over. then how did the boat get around? it makes no sense. if it was ice chunks floating around why did peter decide we could walk out to jesus? then why did he begin to sink? then after all of this the disciples believed that they were walking on water. professor doofus i mean moron i mean doron needs to put some thought into his theory. maybe he did, and he is just trying to make us laugh. well you got me.

gas prices

i am not happy about the gas prices. if you have to drive more than 1 mile per day then you know what i mean. usually the gas soars during the summer months. i guess the oil executives thought they could get a big laugh if they raised the prices early this year. funny guys. they are funny. as they sit back and get rich we kill ourselves paying high gas prices. for those who have to live by a budget these soaring prices mess up all hopes of balancing that budget. i just wanted to thank all the greedy oil executives and politicians who empower them. here is a big shout out to you guys.
i dont know if this will help but i have been reading that if we stop buying gas from exxon and mobil then we will cripple their ability to raise the prices. dont know if it will work but i am gonna try it. from now on i am buying gas from the little guys.
does anyone agree? does anyone have any more info?????

lets pray for auny

you may remember a few weeks ago i told you guys about auny being sick. she has gone to the doctor and they think she has an ulcer. the pain is triggered by stress. she has to eat super healthy foods and stay away from stress. both of those things are hard to do being on the road. some say that if you are spiritual you wont have stress. im not sure i believe that. we are dealt plenty of tough things that we have to deal with from week to week.
auny needs our prayer. she deals with alot of pain. it is better than it was a few weeks ago but i want her to be totally healed. we have a very busy schedule, and she has many demands on her life. i couldnt do what i do without her. pray for her health and lets watch God heal her.

13 hours

thats how long i slept last night. i cant believe it. i have been so tired after this last trip that i decided to sleep until i wake up. i think i have caught up now. who knows, i may take a nap today. nah. we have off a few days this week before we leave for indiana. i think i will catch up on yard work and maybe try to start on my taxes. ok half of that is true.
yesterday we spent easter with some friends. we watched the dove awards. they are beginning to air on different networks. you can check your market and network at www.gmamusicawards.com. watch it, and see me do a trick that freaks out my copresenter shirley caesar.

thoughts on the resurrection

some people dont believe in the resurrection of jesus. some say maybe jesus never died in the first place. lets think about that. jesus gets arrested, then ordered to die by the most powerful military in the world. dont you think the people that wanted him dead were going to make sure the job was done. jesus was a major threat to the jewish leaders. they made sure he was dead. some believe that he never quite passed while hanging on the cross. the roman soldiers were experts at hanging people. the people responsible for his crucifixion did this as a full time job. they knew how to kill him. i dont think they were going to be fooled by someone playing dead on the cross. after being beaten, flogged, and tortured, there is no doubt that he was dead. people who believe this theory need to make an appointment at the common sense clinic.
unless you believe that jesus died you cant believe that he rose from the dead.

freetime... oh yea

after a huge week in kentucky i am ready for a day off. actually i need a week off. i think i deserve it. i have been so busy for the past few weeks. i have had trouble even finding time to check my email. from california to nashville to atlanta to kentucky, we kept it moving everyday. we are tired. doing shows wears me out so much. today is friday and now i take a much needed break.
i think i will blast some mute math, then take a walk thru the woods with auny. maybe cook some lunch. who knows? tomorrow i will do my favorite thing, ride my motorcycle. auny will go with me and ride hers as well.
i try not to let myself get too busy and overwork myself but sometimes it just happens. i am still learning how to balance ministry and personal time.

big night in kentucky

last night was the third and final night of the freedom experience in henry county kentucky. last night was huge. we had a full house at 3200 people. the crowd was excited as the band freshman 15 took the stage right after chaos on wheels(bmx stunt team) and myself did an opener with bikes and a motorcycle. we were jumping thru the air and criss crossing. it was very cool. those bmx guys are amazing. donnie actually pulled off a 360 double tailwhip. if you are wondering what that is, only about 3 people in the world can do it. nathan did a 720, that is 2 revolutions in the air. and lucas pulled a huge backflip. hip hoper b-reith did a couple of songs then the big moment came. what everyone had been waiting for was me doing the water coffin. i went underwater with all the chains on. it was the coldest water ever.
the best part of the night was all of those people who were saved. last night 117 people made a decision to follow christ for the first time.

new stunt goes over big!

i will let you guess at what it is. i did a new stunt last night that was crazy. it went over big. really big. i new we were onto something when i got a long standing ovation. it was so perfect. everyone is talking about it today. and that is exactly what i wanted. now everyone is wanting to come back to the show tonight to see what else i will do. also, the best part about the stunt last night was that after it was over, people were so ready to hear me speak. then 98 people made a decision to follow jesus for the first time.

henry county freedom experience

last night at the freedom experience in kentucky we saw God move. it was awesome. there were around 1100 people there. there were 104 people who made a first time decision to become a follower of jesus. there were many other decisions as well. it was so evident that this event has been prayed for. tonight i will do a brand new stunt we are very excited about. some of you may have heard the secret already. i have kept it secret for a while. i will do it tonight so i am sure people will be talking about it on the internet tomorrow. i expect to see the crowd to grow tonight and even more tomorrow night. pray for God to be all over it

the freedom experience

the most effective event we do is called the freedom experience. it is a 3 day crusade we do about 6 or 8 times a year. we bring with us a bmx team called chaos on wheels and a band and sometimes a skater and a motorcycle team. we perform in a high school gym or convention center usually. this event is amazing because it reaches so many unchurched people. we will see between 50-80% of the crowd be unchurched people. this is not a program it is a strategy.
we begin freedom experience here in kentucky today. please pray for us as we do everything. and pray for the event to go well. i am praying for big crowds and for many to become believers.

nickelodeon

did anybody see me on nickelodeon last night? i was chosen to do a small spot for their friday night program. it was really stupid. if you saw it you may think that i had lost my mind. they wanted me to say dumb things and act out stuff that made no sense to me. it airs on friday nights in between spongebob and whatever. if you see it lemme know. i havent seen it but i am curious to know what they do with the piece.

more thoughts on gma awards

natalie grant won female vocalist of the year. it was the most touching moment of the night. i love natalie, she is so genuine. we are friends with her and her husband and we love their hearts for God. in her speeech she said something that really made me think. she said "God didnt call me to be famous, he didnt call me to have notariety, he called me to be faithful". wow, that puts things in perspective.

and the dove goes to...

i got to give an award away last night at the gma music awards aka dove awards.i had no idea that i was going to give away the biggest award, the artist of the year(chris tomlin won). i was the last presenter of the night. it was a long wait before i went out on stage. i had plenty of time to think about how i could totally blow the night if i get my lines wrong or if i mess up the tricks. i did a new trick on stage last night. i never like the first time in front of people with a new trick. i really dont like the first time in front of people and being on tv.
right before we started, the trick i was going to do broke. i had a back up, no problem. but it broket too. so we scrambled at the last minute to put everything together. we ended up buying some things from a gas station and getting some duct tape to fix it. the show was great and the tricks went awesome and the night was so perfect. i will find out when it will air and let everyone know soon. im glad its over and glad it went well. wait and see what i did, you are gonna scream.

word concert

last night was a great night. i hosted the word label group concert at rocketown. i had alot of fun. there were 9 bands. lemme see if i can remember all of them. stellarkart, m.o.c, group one crew, nate sallie, shonlock, jackson waters, building 429 and barlow girl. it was a long night. they kept me on my toes. i did illusions and emcee type stuff between each band. today i will present an award at the dove awards. i have interviews all day plus rehearsal. its gonna be a long day. pray for me as i learn a new trick for the tv show tonight. im a bit nervous.

gma

gospel music association. gma for short. thats when every band in the christian world comes together for a conference and fellowship and networking and to try to get noticed. its actually fun for most people but some people dread it. this is also the time where the christian entertainment industry gets together. media outlets from all over the world come to interview artists and other people like me. i am spending most of my time doing interviews and meetings and that sort of thing. monday i did a thing for breakaway magazine. i also did a tv show called the logan show. not sure when it will air.
keep praying for auny. it is such a busy time for us and she is still in a lot of pain. it comes and goes. today she goes to the doctor. hope its good news, will let ya know as soon as we know something.

gma dove awards

guess who is going to present an award at the gma dove awards? you guessed it, i am. the are filming the show on wednesday night. i just found out that i am doing it. they told me that they wanted me to do something"magical" with the envelope. not sure what i am going to do. maybe i will make it disappear. as soon as i know when it will air i will let you know.

ghetto rental car

sometimes my life is very crazy and outside of the box. ok, always. here is a peak at my life.
i wanted to take my parents to watch a tapping of a tv show. we decided to rent a car and go watch "deal or no deal". i called my friend jessica and she tracked down a rental company for me. i went to pick up the car and it was hilarious. it was not a regular car rental. it was a guy who fixed up wrecked cars and then rented them out. the car barely got us to los angeles. it over heated once. it was spray painted. it was missing a hub cap and it had no shocks. it was scary. we made it there and back with no problems. then as the guy was taking me back to the hotel i began to talk to him about where he was from. he was from iran and he escaped during the revoulution. he used to be a governor and held high political positions. he had to sneak out because they were about to hang him. he was able to pay some people to get him out of court and get him to america. i was so interested in his story. i asked him before i got out of the car if he knew of any good places to eat. he said to call him and he would take us to a great place for iranian food. well, that sounded strange to call a total stranger to go out to eat. so we did. he picked us up and we ate the best food i have had in a while. we even had a belly dancer come to our table. (that was funny). we had a great time and had some great talks. he is muslem and i am christian of course and we got to talk about all of our faith and practices. i have to say it was exciting. but hey, thats the life we choose.

last night at the conference, i was supposed to begin my segment with a big illusion. as i went out on stage i realized that the prop was not on stage. the stage hands couldnt get it on the stage. everything seemed normal except that the stage was 2 inches different than usual. there was a structure overhead that prevented the prop from going on to the stage. i realized the problem and went into another effect. i read aunys mind almost as she started a music track for me to perform with. we changed everything in the matter of seconds and kept going. the show at the point was totally unplanned. we had to deal with it and go with it. auny and i worked as a team to pull it off. it went very smoothly... and the audience never knew the difference
