water coffin scare

wednesday was the last night of a very succesful freedom experience. we almost got shut down for some stupid reasons beyond our control but God let the show go on. also the tropical storm dissipated and it barely even rained. it was standing room only, with a little over 2000 people crammed into the place. 80% of the people who attended dont go to church. we saw many get saved. many more heard the gospel for the first time.
the people came to see the water coffin. i get people from the audience to bring chain and locks and have an audience member chain me up. then i go underwater and escape. tonight was a very close call. i was stuck underwater. i didnt panic, i didnt worry but i thought "tonight is the night i wont get out". i really wrestled with the chains. im not kiddn, i was truly in trouble. after 2 and a half minutes i got out. my wrist was bleeding and i was totally out of breath. it was all worth it to see people listen to the gospel. this was a very good freedom experience. i will remember it for 2 reasons, the great people we worked with here in florida and the water coffin scare.

the show goes on

we are in the path of ernesto right now. we have done 2 nights here in palm coast and so far it has been a-mazing. we have had a ton of people saved so far. but, the problem is ernesto is on its way. they may not let us do the show on wednesday night. we have spent months planning, and spent many dollars on this event. wednesday is the big night but the authorities are not sure they will let us perform. pray for the show to go on. we are not worried about the storm. the locals are not really worried about it. we are expecting about 3000 people to show up tonight. i am wanting to give the gospel to them. the hours of hard work must pay off. rain or shine the show must go on

freedom experience- palm coast

this week we are doing an event we call the freedom experience. we are in palm coast florida for 3 nights. each night is different. we have a hip hop group called "group 1 crew" and they were amazing. they did just a great job. the crowd loved them. we had a band called "eleventy seven". they were perfect. they had fun and got the crowd into it. "chaos on wheels" are with us as usual. they are a bmx stunt team and they know how to bring it. backflips on bikes, unbelievable. one of the best freestyle skaters in the world is with us. time byrne is his name, and skating like a madman is his game.. ok that was lame. anyway, the show was great. i am so proud of these guys. monday was the first night of the tour we will all do together. i am so excited about this years line up. everyone is great at what they do, and they all love Jesus.

what does worldly look like?

recently some of my friends were accused of being worldly because of the way they look and dress. a group of fundamentalist pastors decided to pick on my friends because they were doing ministry and being worldly. they claimed that they are using worldly methods, and it was disgusting to God. they had problems with the way they do their hair, saying they didnt comb their hair or something. my friends that i am talking about are professional skaters and bmx riders who also bring they message of jesus at their shows. these guys skate in front of thousands of people at their shows, why not give the gospel i ask. if the way a person looks on the outside is a reflection of the way they are on the inside then lets use this logic and have some fun. ok? ok, here we go.
what does worldly really look like? if someone dresses with baggy pants and messy hair then they are worldly. using this same logic lets turn it around. if you wear a button down shirt with some tan pants then you look just like the doctor i saw on tv last night who does abortions for teenage girls. abortion is murder therefore you dress like a murderer. if you wear a shirt and tie then you look like the car salesman who sells cars that have had the mileage rolled back to make the car look less used. therefore you look like a liar. if you dress with a suit and tie, then you look like the pastor i recently met who just got arrested for child molestation. therefore if you dress like that, you must be a child molester. if you have a beard then you look like a muslim. some muslims have been known to blow up airplanes therefore you look like a terrorist. do you see the ridiculous logic in all of this. so, to all of you murdering, lying, cheating, child molesting, terrorists out there, welcome to the club. you might want to change the way you dress. the truth is, we all look worldly. because worldly is all encompassing.

God doesnt care what you look like on the outside. he cares about your heart. he wants you to use whatever you do to reach people.
now, if you are a stripper and you take your clothes off on stage and show a tattoo on your chest that says john 3:16 then you might want to rethink your clever evangelistic strategy.

hidden agenda

most of you know about my latest dvd called hidden agenda. for those of you who dont know, listen up. we have a dvd that is 115 minutes of illusions, escapes, stunts, and crazy on the road moments. we have the water coffin and the blindfolded motorcycle ride on there as well as ping pong balls and other favorites. my favorite part is the reaction that i get as i am on the audio adrenaline tour bus doing close-up card tricks for the band. we also have a clip of our big outreach called the freedom experience which involves backflipping bmx bikes and freestyle skating. the best part of the dvd is the puppet master. that is the part where i give the gospel. people have been using this to reach their friends. youth groups have been playing it on outreach nights at church. i am thrilled to hear of the people that have been saved after watching the dvd.
if you are wanting to reach someone without an awkward conversation then try this dvd. its simple to use. just let someone watch it. show it to a group of friends at your house. it will open a door for ministry.
if you are reading this and dont own hidden agenda then hurry!!! go to www.brockgill.com or go to myspace.com/brockgill or click on this http://www.buyswag.com/verticalministries/product.aspx?id=768 i cant make it any easier. and it will only cost you $12.99

ok now, what are your favorite parts of the dvd?? comment now

and the passion burns inside me

the john karr circus, iran nuke drama, israel and lebanon, global warming, crooked politicians, and k-fed. all of this is the headline news. i get overwhelmed watching the news. i think that the news can be depressing. it shows you the worlds problems all at once. im not sure we are made to handle all of that at once. i see the problems in darfur and floods and fires in america. terrorism is knocking at the door. with all of this i want to be able to fix it. i want to make it all go away. i see lost people all around. i see people who are hurting. people who have wasted their lives and now realize it. i see people with no nope what so ever. i hear about kids being abused by their parents and parents being abused by their kids. in the past week i have seen more than 1 local pastor fall. i see families detroyed. i want to do something about it. i need to do ministry. we all need to do ministry. i feel peoples hurt and pain, and the passion burns inside me

married people are boring

why is it that most people become boring as soon as they get married. in college we would watch our friends get married and then never hang out with us again. it was kinda scary. i vowed to not be like that when i got married. many of my married friends that i have now want to make plans and then have a very planned time to hang out then go home early. i guess they are more responsible than i am. i like spur of the moment fun where everyone is welcome. my single friends provide that. tonight was a very last minute plan for dinner and craziness. for all you married people out there reading this, turn off the stupid tv and go do something fun with people you love. you will be more happy. try it and see.

here come the comments

p.s. i dont mean to be offensive with post. read the comments to get a little more of what i truly mean about this. and yes i still love my married friends... sometimes

4 hour nonsense

after missing a flight to washington dc(it wasnt my fault)we finally made it with plenty of time to spare. we rented a car and began our 45 mile trip to fredericksburg. the traffic was unbelievable. it took us over 4 hours to get to the venue. we thought we were going to miss our show. we got there late but we made it. then we opened our luggage. i knew that they had beaten it up from looking at it. it wouldnt even roll. my friends that inspect the luggage had gone thru all of my magic stuff and things were missing and broken. i had 25 minutes before going on stage and i realized that i was in trouble. i went to back up plan. we got things all set and ready and the show went on. nobody even knew. we always have back up plans. this time we used it. the crowd was great. we had a blast. God showed up and people were saved then tait band was there to top it off. what a night. where do i go next?

the book proposal

some of you may remember that i am writing a book. i have been working on it for quite a while. it is a book dealing with my life and the miracles i have seen first hand as well as my take on the miracles of jesus. i have 2 publishers that are very interested. one of them is presenting the book to their committee this week. please pray with us for Gods will to be done. we believe that this book could touch many, many people. i would like to see it get published soon. the publisher that i am most excited about happens to be a part of the largest pub houses in the nation. all i can do is pray. lets see what happens.

electronic babysitters

we are now seeing kids in the youth group who have grown up watching a screen on the back of their carseat and at the foot of their bed their entire lives. people have been conditioned to watch a screen for entertainment and information. you cant go anywhere without seeing a tv. what bothers me a little bit is, what does that do for kids. they spend so much of their time watching that screen that i wonder about the development of social skills. these days its easier for parents to turn on a dvd and let that entertain the kid for a few hours. im not saying its wrong. i dont know anything about raising kids. i just wonder what the longterm effects are. how does it change our culture. what will kids be like in 10 years, 20 years? recently at a show i looked out before i took the stage and i saw dozens of people with their heads bowed. they were playing with some sort of pocket electronic device. they werent watching the action on stage. at that moment it made me think. i wonder how bored people are sitting in our youth programs.

fresh fruit

one of my favorite things to do is find fresh organic fruit from a farmer on the side of the road. this summer i have been stopping when i see some poor farmer selling fruit or vegetables out of the back of his beat up pick-up truck. the prices are so cheap. i always have a good conversation with the guy and i always leave happy. i encourage you to buy stuff straight from the farmer when you can. it is guaranteed to be fresh and not tampered with. did you know that when you buy an apple from the grocery it has been frozen for 12 months before stored? i learned that after visiting an apple orchard. i like to see what i can find fresh and eat it up. try it and see how you feel

meet jessica

jessica interned with us this summer. she is from a little place called texas. she is a very cool kid. here is why.

jessica graduated high school early so she could fast track her college education because she has work to do. she feels called to do evangelism for teenagers. she is very passionate about her faith and her calling. she is eager to learn and experience the world. she is like a sponge soaking things up when around ministry. i can see something different about this girl. she isnt like most people her age. most youth group kids she knows are wasting their lives away with drinking and smoking and selfish behavior. she has chosen a life of holiness, which means she doesnt fit in very well. im glad she doesnt fit in. im glad she sticks out. we need more people to stick out. i want to see more teenagers get serious about their faith and quit acting like God is for later in life. i see the hand of God on jessicas life. i know he has a big plan for her life. i watched her this summer as she did devotionals for youth groups at camp and she was so effective. teenagers today think they have no reponsibilty. they dont even use their spiritual gifts. i hope that teenagers everywhere will follow jessica and raise the standard.
teenagers are you with me? if so then go to comment here. jessica will read this. and she will be encouraged. so lets here some comments

trip to the dentist(from hell)

as i sat in the dentists chair today i was reminded of my last dentist. heres the story of the dentist from hell.

my insurance company told me what dentist to see and where to go. it was at some guys house. i waited for 2 hours. i had a chance to observe all the trophies from boxing championships. the dentist came in wearing lots of bling, gold chains around his neck and big rings. he looked like mr. t without the mohawk. large black man pushing 300 pounds. he used to be a professional boxer. he still had a mean right hook. unfortunately it was in my mouth. i have never been roughed up that much in my life. for an hour i endured pain as i buried my head in the back of the chair. when i got up i noticed blood from ear to ear. i had blood all down my shirt and everywhere. he never x-rayed me but looked at my mouth and told me i had 7 cavities. he wanted to drill on me for all the cavities, but i nearly ran for the door. i had been there for 3 hours so i said i will reschedule all the cavity work. later i went to another dentist to get all 7 cavities fixed and of course, i have no cavities. never had one in my life. he was lying to me to get my money. scary stuff. lesson: dont go to a dentist if he is a pro boxer. dont go to someones house for dental work. dont let someone drill you until they x-ray you. dont let someone touch your teeth if they say teef or teefis, or look like snoop dog, or wear more bling then mr. t.

crazy day to fly

we flew today from indianapolis. we had to throw away anything wet. we had to get rid of our chap stick. our chap stick. are you kidding me? what is chap stick going to do? anyway, as everyone was freaking out we were delayed of course. we were the lucky ones, we got home before dinner. i dont like how the terrorists can get caught even before they do something but they still win. i am glad they got those suckas. but it was a crazy day to fly.

israel war

last year i visited israel when i was working on the project for discovery channel. i had a great time, and i grew to love israel while i was there. i learned from the crew, that lived there, they live in constant fear of terrorists. when we went to a restaurant or even our hotel we were checked by security. they are always on edge. most countries in the middle east want to destroy israel. that is why when they get picked on they have to respond with power. i support israel in their fight against hezbollah. we sometimes forget that hezbollah has been firing thousands or rockets into israel and killing people. what would we do if that was happening to us right now. pray for israel.

double back flip

if you missed the x-games on tv this year then you missed the most insane thing that has ever happened. at the x-games freestyle moto competition, travis pastrana pulled a double back flip on a 200 pound dirt bike. this will go into the history books for sure. it is the most incredible thing that has ever been done on a dirt bike. that boy has talent. he won the gold medal of course. i was very impressed, as was millions of others

prayer strategy

for those of you that read this often you know that this blog is part of my prayer strategy. we have done outreaches for a long time now and there is one thing that i have found to be true, if you are building the kingdom then satan hates it. our only hope is prayer. we need a prayer strategy. part of that strategy is getting people just like you to commit to pray for us always. every week we are on stage spreading the gospel. people are getting saved every time. that only comes from the power of God. we need you to stand with us in prayer and fight the spiritual battle that doesnt end whe we clock out. it doesnt end when we get home. we ask for people to pray for us in 3 very specific ways. pray for Gods power in our lives to do ministry. second, pray for protection as we travel and as we are attacked. and third, pray for provision. we need God to provide for every need. and trust me there are plenty. you can remember this by the 3 p's, power, protection, and provision.

my wife auny has a blog www.auny.blogspot.com
she blogs about the prayer side of things even more often than i do. it is more specific sometimes. read her blog and comment there when you get the chance.

if you are being lead to be a part of the daily prayer team for our ministry then email us at info@brockgill.com. we want to hear from you. we will let you know when specific needs arise. we need you guys to pray or we cant do what we do
thanks

holding my hand

today i got the call that the bank was not interested in working with us to resolve the problem. many of you know our problem if not here is a quick bit of history. i invested in a house, the guy managing the property didnt pay the mortgage, i was taken advantage of and lost it all. by the time you read this my house will be foreclosed on. we have been praying for a miracle to get out of the situation. we had a buyer to buy the house but the bank wouldnt work with him to make a quick sale. they drug their feet for a few weeks and now its too late. it all seems so wrong. it is a total mess.

i felt a few weeks ago God saying to me that i would have to walk through this trial. i didnt feel that he was saying he would rescue me from it. i prayed, you prayed but no miracle was in sight. at least not yet. i felt that he was saying that he would get more glory if i walked through this trial. i feel that he will hold my hand through this and my faith will grow stronger. people will see how i handle this and it will grow their faith as well. people everywhere are going through major life crisis. mine is pretty small compared to them. if people can see me live by faith through the hard times it will encourage them. not everyone gets rescued from the trial. you see, i prayed for Gods will not mine. i dont care about anything but his will. my will is flawed. im limited in knowledge and understanding. i actually felt God prepare me for this. it was not my lack of faith, it was me hearing the whispers of the spirit. i know God is going to use this in a powerful way. my credit is ruined, i have lost alot but i am going to trust God. i want my faith to be a testimony. tonight i will sleep fine because i know who watches over me
