awkard combination

so we go to lunch with some friends after church on sunday. after we ate the waiter asked me to stand up. they thought they would embarass me for my birthday. as i stood there in front of everyone in the restaurant, they said i had to do my famous dance. i thought i would make their little plan backfire. first i started shaking hands with everyone at other tables and introducing myself like i was some kind of politician. then i said i would dance if they would sing. they asked me what song. so i was kinda on the spot, and i didnt know what song to ask them to sing. i didnt want them to sing happy birthday because its been done before. so without much thought i said "the national anthem". you heard me right. i kinda said it as a joke to shock them but they were gearing up to sing it. so these people who i didnt know began to sing and everyone in that section of the restaurant joined in at the first note. i couldnt believe they actually started singing. i was standing there with everyone expecting me to dance, so i did. it was so stupid. it was the most awkward combination in the world. some people looked at me, others looked at each other, some looked at the floor, some just put heir hand over their heart and looked for a flag. i relize that i could probably get arrested for the stunt, but i couldnt stop it. my friends cried as they were buckled over laughing. we got it all on video. it will be up on myspace.com/brockgill tuesday afternoon. we had everyone in the place wondering what was going on. the whole place was talking about it. the waiter said it was the most unique birthday ever. they are still talking about it in the kitchen. afterwards people from other tables were asking me if i had a bet going that i could make the entire place sing the national anthem. think about this site, me dancing my doofus dance as people sang to me the national anthem. i might get kicked out of this country soon. i apologize. now go watch the video of the most awkward combination on the planet
