another jesus
i have met a few jesus' over the years. one time i met a guy on the street who told me he was the christ. he was also an unemployed dope smoker. i decided not to believe him.
now there is a guy from puerto rico who claims that he is the real jesus christ. he has millions of followers, mostly in south america. he has a tattoo of 666 across his arm, a cigarette in one hand and girls under each arm. im not sure why the tattoo but he claims to be the almighty second manifestation of jesus. he teaches that there is no such thing as sin anymore. swell guy..
his name in jose de jesus. he tours america and speaks to thousands of people at a time. he acts like a rock star and he speaks alot usng scripture.
i must apologize for all of the confusion. some people hear about people like this and think that christianity is for fools. many people are confused by the actions of those who act in this manor. religion confuses people everyday.
this "jesus" has no shame in the lifestyle he lives and the followers he attracts. i dont really understand how people could follow him. im not sure what he has to offer. google him and see for yourself. or click on this for more nonsense http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16840066/site/newsweek/
by the way, we will see many more "jesus christs" in years to come.. and one more thing, DONT DRINK THE KOOLAID

His real brother says that Jose just wants atention. He can't be Jesus Christ. Jesus must be born from Nazaret, Jarusalem Jose was born at Ponce, Puerto Rico.

so funny...you have a young audience. i mean, i don't remember the koolaid thing either (when it actually happened), but i guess i am old enough that people were at least still mentioning it occasionally while i was growing up...maybe we just heard about it at etbu...whatever. hope you are having a great beach time.
You went to ETBU?
The Kool-Aid incident was Jim Jones, who founded the "People's Temple" movement/cult/sect. Nearly a thousand people followed him to Guyana to set up a sort of utopian commune and religous center.
When word started getting out that some of Jones' congregation were being forced to stay when they wanted to leave, the government investigated. A United States Senator, along with members of his staff and some camera crew, were gunned down at the Guyana airport. Then Jones told his followers, in a warped, Masada-like speech, that it was better for them all to die than be taken by the US government and lose their way of life.
They mixed cyanide into a fruit punch and made everyone drink it. Mothers and fathers had to give it to their children; the infants were fed through a syringe. Within less than an hour, nine hundred people were dead. It took weeks to clean up the bodies.
