God is in trouble

God has been having a hard time lately. first the davincci code, now the lost tomb of jesus. i think God is calling his pr manager and saying "help me, im in a jam". maybe He is considering rehab.

actaually, i dont think that God is too worried about his image. i think he can handle it. he is not freakin out right now. let me tell ya, for centuries God has withstood countless attempts to lessen his divinity. i can assure you, He is not going anywhere. He is going to get thru this.

with that in mind. here is what we can do. knowing that God is bigger than we can imagine, we can go to Him with any and every problem. He can handle it. He can handle it if you are upset with Him. if you dont like Him, if you dont understand Him, if you have something to say to Him, He can handle it. He is real. He will answer you. He is powerful. its hard to believe but He can handle anything we come up with.

Here's a way to keep the airlines from losing your luggage:
put a starter pistol in it and declare it as a firearm.
they'll keep track of it in a separate section.

As you might guess, Brock, I particularly enjoyed the DaVinci Code...;) In fact, I just finished rereading it on my flight home.

Frankly, I think it's Men (ie, human beings) who get freaked out at the premise of that book and others like it--not God. I have no problem with the idea that Jesus could have been a married man; to me, that doesn't take away from the majesty and miracle of his life. Who's to say what really happened? None of us were there...at least not in our present forms.

I'll stop now before I write a full-length essay (chuckle)
