red eye
after a long day of dirt bike riding in southern california i started to pack up and head to the airport. i only had one problem, we locked the keys in the truck. my friend had AAA and he called them to unlock his truck. they came and did it with no problem. i take back some and only some of the bad things i said about AAA. anyway, we headed to the airport. i got there in the nick of time, so i thought. they wouldnt let me check in because it was 30 minutes before the flight left. i missed it by 1 minute. they didnt have anymore seats available for 2 days. so we drove from orange county airport to LAX in los angeles. i got the last seat on the last flight out. we departed at midnight. i flew all night and got to nashville at 930am. i dont sleep on planes. as soon as i got to nashville i took a 45 minute nap and headed to my meeting. then i drove 3 hours to memphis for a commitment. i sure am tired. thats what you get when you take the red eye flight

Believe me, Brock...I feel your pain. I had to take a redeye last week on my way back from Arizona. And I can't sleep on planes, either--though I damn sure tried. Then I stayed up all day Thursday, and literally collapsed that night after a straight 36 hours of no sleep. "Exhausted" doesn't begin to describe what I looked and felt like.
Redeyes suck, but they're cheap. I just can't wait for the 6-day drive BACK to Arizona in ten days or so...heh.

if he doesnt like it, then i will stop because that would be disrespectful, but if he doesn't mind, i still want to have the contest. its fun. i wouldnt be mad @ him if he didnt want us to do it anymore.

Of course, it's Brock's blog, and he makes the ultimate decisions regarding content.
However, it seems to me to be disrespectful to his intent and his purpose to have a "contest" that has nothing to do with his posts, his thoughts, or his opinions. It just looks rude. That's not the reason one sets up a blog and makes room for the readers to comment. To me, it looks like you're ignoring his original post and using the comment space to simply further your own entertainment. That's why it seems disrespectful.
As you may have noticed, I can be very outspoken and opinionated, but I don't set out to offend. Again, it's not my blog. But I would respectfully suggest you think about how you would feel if you took time out of a busy schedule to write about your observations and feelings, and found that the area set aside for reader responses was being used for a completely different purpose.
Just my thoughts.

With all respect and it has happen to me and everyone, there are times where we say things and then continue what we started.
I know that this is Brocks blog. and HE MAKES THE DECISIONS REGARDING COMMENT CONTENTS...AND HE HAS BEFORE.!!
I DONT KNOW IF U HAVE NOTICED BUT THERE WHERE TIMES WHEN PEOPLE WOULD COMMENT ADVERTISING THEIR PRODUCTS AND SPEAKING FOR MYSELF CAUSE IT HAS HAPPEN TO MY BLOG, I WOULD LET IT SLIDE.
BUT WHEN THE CONTENT'S LINK CONTAINED DEGRADING SITES...THERE IS WHERE I WILL STOP IT.

LIKE BISCOCHO: FOR PUERTORRIQUENS IT MEANS CAKE. FOR MEXICANS IT MEANS SOMETHING ELSE.
THIS IS PUERTORRIQUENS WORD FOR CAKE AND MEXICANS IS PASTEL.
I HAVE LEARNED TO BE OPEN AND LEARN DIFFERENT CUSTOMS. WHEN A MEXICAN TELL ME, " THAT'S A BAD WORD FOR US MEXICANS" I SAY, " BUT FOR ME ITS NOT!" I DONT HAVE TO USE YOUR WORD. WHY? ( BUT WITH RESPECT)I SAY LEARN DIFFERENT WAYS OF SAYING CAKE IN OTHER COUNTRIES.
