the reaping
i went to a movie screening for "the reaping" on monday night. the movie is supposed to be about an ex-missionary who has lost her faith and then finds it again thru experiencing some biblical plagues.
i have some good things to say and some bad. the good first. the movie was good. it was well done, with a twisted ending and a great plot. the movie is very entertaining and it keeps moving.
the bad. i was under the impression that it was a christian friendly movie. ya know, like the passion, or end of the spear, or facing the giants. well, it wasnt christian. the movie wasnt so much about faith. maybe if you stretch it you could get that but it was more about sight than faith. it was more about a myth than biblical history. i dont expect much from a movie when it has a christian spin on it anyway. the reason is because i get the idea that if a movie mentions God then you can get all the christians to come see it. anyway, the movie is not one you would take the youth group to see.
