passport

its time to get a passport if you do not have one. one of these days you are going to have the opportunity to go to mexico or canada and you will have to have a passport. you could try to get one later but chances are it will be like this...

my brother is getting married this weekend. he wants to go to mexico for the honeymoon because that is where is new wife is going. he wants to be with her for the trip but he doesnt have a passport. he applied 2 months ago and even paid extra for it to be expedited. here it is friday, the day before the wedding, and still no passport. he drove to houston texas today and waited in line for 6 hours and finally ended the day with a passport. much stress for the boy.

the government has changed the rules for travel to everywhere outside the country. that is forcing many more people to get a passport now. every cruise, every trip across the border needs a passport now.

this was my attempt to give you some valuable information that could save your life. or just help you out. sorry to be dramatic

Renewals are still fast, but the process slowed way down after 9-11 for new ones. They have to check things much closer and now there are so many people trying to get passports that the system is overloaded. If you are even thinking that you might go somewhere get a passport now - they are good for 10 years and your picture will only get worse ;-)
