kathy grifin is lost
there are people who are very upset about what kathy griffins comment during her acceptance speech for her emmy. if you havent heard what she said here it is, but be warned. if you are easily offended then stop reading now and come back tomorrow. here ya go. kathy said, "A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now." wow huh? thats messed up.
here are my thoughts. what do you expect? im not surprised, this is america. we have lost our way. we have neglected God in so many ways and this has become normal everyday talk for much of america. this is not a "hollywood" problem. this is america. but, this is a free country, she can say whatever she wants to say. we dont have to believe or agree. but we also dont have to listen to it. we dont have to watch her programs. honestly, i dont blame her. she is lost. lost people act lost. people think that her comments are the unforgivable sin. i would rather someone say that they hate God and be honest than for someone to say they are "cool" with God for political gain. what is worse? a politician using God to get ahead, or someone making fun of jesus. its the same thing. we shouldnt be shocked, this is america. lost people act lost.
what are we going to do about it. how do we love people who offend us in the most extreme way?

America has gone to hell in a handbasket. Really that is the best way to put it. It seems like you can't bash something unless you are bashing Jesus it sucks but it is the truth.
Jesus said it best "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do." We should pray for her that she (Kathy) learns what she is doing and is convicted for it. My pastor once told me to pray for conviction for someone close to me because if we really care we'll pray for conviction for ourselves and others. Without it (conviction) we'll keep doing the same junk over and over.
Read II Chronicles 7:14. That's what America needs to do!

It so irritates me when people shake their heads and drop their jaws in shock at what people who are UTTERLY LOST say or do. Hello...they don't have God. They are far from God. Like you said, what do they expect? I totally agree with you that at least she's honest. God does say that it's better to be either hot or cold, not lukewarm, right? She's definitely cold. But, I appreciate it when I know exactly where a person stands. It is so much easier to know how to interceed for that person, what to share with him/her. Riding the fence just doesn't work...you either love God or you're against Him. I hate what she said and I feel sick and sad for her. Nevertheless, I do appreciate an honest heart...it is deceived and definitely needs prayer...but, we know where she stands for sure.
the truth is, she probably just went for shock value.. she knew it would get her attention. in hollywood, there is never bad press.
ohmygosh that makes me so mad not surprised but mad its not even like she is funny when she says this stuff either ugh! poor kathy she so needs Jesus. Rachel
It is extremely important for us to remember one thing when we are faced with these types of individuals. We were once just like them. We must look at this world, and those in it, as Jesus does. With a heavenly perspective. These people may be lost now but not necessarilly always. Remember the example of Paul. They are in the bondage of the enemy and don't know it. We having been freed from such bondage can now recognize the enemy we face. It's not that person, it's the devil and his forces we are to fight. We are to love every person for they are created in God's image and we are to love them as Christ did. Would you die to save them? Jesus did. Pray for them to find Christ and repent. Why get mad over it? Personally, when I see such things my heart is so greaved that I break down crying for them and the pain they are causing God. Only the love of Jesus can change that person's heart. Ask God to do a miracle like He did for you and lead them to Himself.
Seriously, you and people like you are just hypocrites and represent our extremists in this country. Not everyone has the same beliefs. which is acceptable. I have no problem in accepting your convictions, why don't you wake up and do the same. Wow, wouldn't that cut back on conflict and hate. Thnk about it.
By the way, not everyone accepts God and Jesus. Just focus on you and don't worry about others. Unliess you find your life unfulfilling and or just bored.
And one more thing: KATHY GRIFFIN IS FUNNY AS HELL, AND I DON'T KNOW IF YOU NOTICED BUT VERY SUCCESSFUL AS WELL AS HAPPY WITH HER LIFE. I WOULD GLADLY PICK HER LIFE OVER YOURS ANYDAY. SEE YOU IN CHURCH... NOT.
