see ya

today is "see ya at the pole". for those who dont know, that is when christians across america gather around the flag pole at the school and pray for their school. i think that today is a powerful day. i support this 100%. for people to set aside this time to put away all differences and ignore anything that creates disunity to focus together and pray for their school is amazing. this is very significant. we dont allow prayer in the classroom in this country. but this happens before school starts. it is a loophole. it is perfectly legal for students to pray anytime at school. a student can even lead a bible study but a teacher cannot do it during school time. today is a day where those things do not matter because millions of students are actually praying. it is estimated that 2 million students will gather to pray. i love this. my only problem is this, dont go to the flagpole to pray if you dont live for jesus. and, dont go pray at the flagpole for one day. pray for your school always. whether you go to a flagpole or not doesnt matter. the point is this, live a holy life and pray always

Brock I agree completely. When I was a senior I was the "leader" for my school's SYATP and we had people show up that didn't live for Jesus. Kids showed up that did an amazing job of not letting anyone know they were Christians and it made me kind of sad.

Also don't just pray for your school the third Wednesday of September, pray daily. Lift up a quick prayer everytime you see the flagpole, our schoold would be a much better place if we did.

I think that people who do not live for Jesus showing up is a good sign. Maybe they are curious, searching, or ready to take a stand, either way they are exposed to Jesus. Now we need to pray that they accept Him as Lord and start to live for Him. I pray that not only do the schools benefit from this time, but that God's kingdom is expanded!!

Is there any way you can delete other's messages on your blogs? You should delete the last 2 on "Trouble With Unicorns" on Saturday, September 22, 2007.

People do not know how to behave themselves!
