crap
i think the word used the most in yesterdays comments was crap. if you havent read the comments then maybe you should, but i will sum it up for you. divorce sucks. that should sum it up for you.
here is the deal, there are many families that have simply fallen apart this year. for some people, this will be the first christmas to spend without mom and dad together. one of the comments i read yesterday put it this way, it is an "epidemic". you know this. i dont have to pound this in, but families are broken everywhere. i am praying for those who are facing a not so merry christmas.
i am now seeing more than ever how devastating and long lasting the effects are of our actions. sin messes you up. whether it is addiction or secret or deliberate sin, it is all the same. it is ruining peoples lives. what i want to stress is that we all need to stay away from ALL sin. it is the little things that get us.
this christmas i have spent a great deal of time ministering to people who have had to deal with a tough situation. tomorrow we are going to bless a family that has had a hard time recently. here is my challenge to you. first, check yourself. if there is sin, then deal with it. then, ask God how you can share some love to people. maybe you can raise some money from your friends and give it to a family in need. we did this and raised a few hundred bucks. or maybe you could find some single person who will not see family for christmas and send a card or a gift. we know some people who are in their twenties who will not see any family for christmas and will not get a gift. we are going to do something for them so that they will have something. its pretty easy. the thing is, if you open your eyes God will show you more needs than you can imagine. lets do something about it. there are many people who are going thru "crap". we can and will make a difference

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying. "Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain." So God granted him what he requested. I Chronicles 4:10
The name Jabez means "pain." We all have pain. This prayer tells us what to do: 1)Pray for ourself (its not being selfish) 2)Give me opportunites to show (His) love to others 3)know (He) is protecting me 4)protection from sin so that I don't hurt another one of (His) children.
What do you think of this prayer Brock? This just came to me this morning while I was on my elliptical...we were talking about pain in our lives yesterday...I just felt lead to share this.
Have a great day!
Teresa
Brock,
I was talking with a friend the other day about the Freedom Experience. He told me about an entire family that received the message of Jesus from F/X. The first night their children came and were so impressed, they brought their parents back with them on the next night. That second night, the entire family came forward during the invitation as one and they all accepted Jesus as their Lord and personal savior that night!
This family is now praying together as one and will be together in Heaven as one! Thank-you for the ministry and everyones hard work. We are still hearing awesome testimonies like this one
Peace,
Lee
amen homes!!
i have a friend that his mother is in germany and his father didn't care abot him. We will give him a present and a friend will take him to his house. Is very sad see people who even have a family to celebrate the christmas. I don't get any present from my family but i have a christmas dinner, and .... not a good one. But i can't complain.
I'll definitly pray for those people and i'll do everything i can.
i think that prayer is the key..
this has been good to talk about
