yoga dude

its no secret that i have to keep my body in good shape. with all of the physical stunts that i do i have to keep good strength and flexibility. i put my physical health high on the priority list. i dont want to get sick or injured because it would slow me down. therefore i choose to be as healthy as possible. one of the ways i do this is by doing yoga. this kind of excercise is amazing. i thought that it wouldnt be a big deal because it is just some stretching but wow. the first time i tried it i could not walk the next day. now i can keep up for the most part but it is such a work out. we dont go to a class or anything. we buy dvds and do it at home. its cheaper and quicker. i cant believe how different i feel after a yoga excercise. if you havent tried it then you should. some of the dvds are goofy but some are great. find a dvd and go for it. do something healthy for your body. you just might live longer

competitive edge

while in california i went to ride dirt bikes with a friend at a place called competitive edge. we had so much fun. it was a huge track, actually about 6 tracks. we rode hard and fast for about 2 hours. it was cool to see some pros out there riding and training. they had their coaches giving them tips and recording their lap times. i love to ride motorcycles. being around it makes me feel right at home. i knew that my time to ride was limited so i made the most of it. i came home with blood blisters on my hands. i should get new gloves. i rode the race track as best i could. it had big jumps and hills. i took it slow til i learned the track but then...ya, fast. i was the man.... until one of the pros jumped over me at about 90 mph. then i remembered, im an illusionist. i kept it fun and came home safe. sure wanna go again.

thanks dan for taking me riding
dan is with riders for christ. check em out. www.riders4christ.com

siamese twins playing the organ

before we started my portion of the show i was on stage in front of thousands of people when dr schuler leaned over to me and said, "hey look at our organists". i looked up at the guys sitting on the bench playing the organ. i saw what appeared to be siamese twins playing the organ. i thought dr schuler was pointing them out to me. i was trying to figure this thing out as people were starting to stare at us and see what we were looking at. moments later they stood to take a bow and they seperated. at that moment i realized they were just sitting really really close on the bench. it was awkwardly close. they sat so close that i thought i was seeing siamese twins. it was funny. maybe you arnt laughing. i guess you would have to imagine seeing siamese twins playing an organ at the crystal cathedral.

evel kneivel

the greatest stunt man of all time, evel kneivel. he made a career jumping his motorcycle over insane distances. i loved him as a kid. he was a hero for me. he had so much courage. even after crashing his brains out he would get back up and try again. he never quit.
i missed a chance to meet him this week. we were scheduled to be taping the crystal cathedral tv show on the same day but he was bumped to the following week. why was evel on the crystal cathedral? dr schuler was very excited as he told me the story. 2 weeks ago, evel called dr schuler and told him that he had decided to become a follower of jesus christ. thats right, evel kneivel became a believer. this is big news. he has been a hardcore dude for a long time with a reputation for the wildside. he had a personal encounter with jesus and his life his transformed. the story will be on the crystal cathedrals hour of power in a couple of weeks.

red eye

after a long day of dirt bike riding in southern california i started to pack up and head to the airport. i only had one problem, we locked the keys in the truck. my friend had AAA and he called them to unlock his truck. they came and did it with no problem. i take back some and only some of the bad things i said about AAA. anyway, we headed to the airport. i got there in the nick of time, so i thought. they wouldnt let me check in because it was 30 minutes before the flight left. i missed it by 1 minute. they didnt have anymore seats available for 2 days. so we drove from orange county airport to LAX in los angeles. i got the last seat on the last flight out. we departed at midnight. i flew all night and got to nashville at 930am. i dont sleep on planes. as soon as i got to nashville i took a 45 minute nap and headed to my meeting. then i drove 3 hours to memphis for a commitment. i sure am tired. thats what you get when you take the red eye flight

enjoy

crystal cathedral

sunday we taped the interview for the tv show called hour of power. it was very intersting to see the whole production there. they said that it is the largest christian tv show. they have over 2 million people watching the show in the u.s. and canada alone. it will air in a couple of weeks, on palm sunday. they treated me very nice, everyone seemed so friendly. it was kinda wierd to be the "celebrity" for the day. i am used to seeing presidents on there or people like arnold swarzenegger, and big time actors and what not. it just seemed kinda surreal for me. the place is really big. the entire place is lined in glass so you can see the outside. dr schuler told me that they built it like that because he loves looking at the sky. when they began 50 years ago they were in a parking lot at a drive in movie theater. therefore they kept the theme. it was cool to see, it really felt like you were outside.

i had a great time there hanging out. i will say that i didnt quite fit in tho. well you will see. i will remind you of when it airs and you can all watch it.

No Internet Access

This is Auny. Brock is out in L.A. and he has our laptop but no access to the internet. Therefore, he cannot post anything until Wednesday. He wanted me to tell you that his interview at the Crystal Cathedral went well yesterday and he was able to go to the Magic Castle last night. The Magic Castle is this place where you eat dinner, watch a stage magic show, and watch several close-up magic shows. However, you cannot get in the Magic Castle without being a member of knowing someone who is. Somehow, Brock and his friend found a way in. I'm not surprised!

politics

i dont do politics. i dont like em. i dont like to talk politics and i sure dont want to be a politician. i never know who i can trust in politics, but thats another story. what i want to complain about today is, the presidential election. i am already tired of the election for 2008. they have been talking about it for months already and i am sick of it. i feel like this election will be the biggest smear campaign yet. politicians will try to bash each other to death this time. i realize that the election is important but lets wait til next year to talk about it. watcha think?

this blog is fantastic

fabulous. i dont ever use the word fabulous. i think that is actually a good thing. after thinking about it, i dont know any normal guys who use the word fabulous. i do, however, know some women who say fabulous. its one of those words that is not comfortable saying. i dont know why that is. some words i can say and have no thought about it. i can make entire sentences with all sorts of words and have no consequences, but some words are best left alone. words that i freely use with no hesitation are: happy, shoestring, kite, kansas, and broom stick.(is broom stick one word or two?). but fabulous is a word that i cant bring myself to use. i feel that fabulous is not a word that i should have in my vocabulary. dont get me wrong, if you use the word fabulous, then go ahead and use it. i dont want to stop you. all i am saying is that its not comfortable for me to say it. i dont even feel right about typing it. if you say fabulous, then just evaluate to see if you are the type of person that should be using that kind of word. and one more thing, if you hear someone use the word fabulous, ask them why they chose that word as opposed to fantastic or great or incredible. then report back to us here as to what they responded with.

AAA roadside service

after driving 12 hours back from florida i get a call about 15 minutes from getting home. it was shannon. she had a flat tire about 2 blocks from my house. when i got to where she was, she was joined by 2 other friends, kim and emily. they had already called AAA and they were on the way to get the flat fixed. i didnt really want to get my hands dirty if a wrecker was on the way but i was skeptical that they would ever show. i have had some bad experience with AAA in the past. thats another story for another day. we waited for the wrecker to arrive for a few minutes then we said we should just go out there and do it ourselves. we thought, as soon as we go change the tire the wrecker would show up. so we waited, and waited. 2 hours later we went out and took charge of the tire thing. did i mention that we called AAA several times and they said "just a few more minutes", "they will be there by 1045pm", and "stop calling us". anyway, since it was almost midnight we were motivated to get it done. as soon as we get air in the tire and pull away from the parking lot, the wrecker drove up.

does anyone have any AAA stories? im sure there are some good ones but most of mine are bad

another jesus

i have met a few jesus' over the years. one time i met a guy on the street who told me he was the christ. he was also an unemployed dope smoker. i decided not to believe him.

now there is a guy from puerto rico who claims that he is the real jesus christ. he has millions of followers, mostly in south america. he has a tattoo of 666 across his arm, a cigarette in one hand and girls under each arm. im not sure why the tattoo but he claims to be the almighty second manifestation of jesus. he teaches that there is no such thing as sin anymore. swell guy..
his name in jose de jesus. he tours america and speaks to thousands of people at a time. he acts like a rock star and he speaks alot usng scripture.

i must apologize for all of the confusion. some people hear about people like this and think that christianity is for fools. many people are confused by the actions of those who act in this manor. religion confuses people everyday.

this "jesus" has no shame in the lifestyle he lives and the followers he attracts. i dont really understand how people could follow him. im not sure what he has to offer. google him and see for yourself. or click on this for more nonsense http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16840066/site/newsweek/

by the way, we will see many more "jesus christs" in years to come.. and one more thing, DONT DRINK THE KOOLAID

God is in trouble

God has been having a hard time lately. first the davincci code, now the lost tomb of jesus. i think God is calling his pr manager and saying "help me, im in a jam". maybe He is considering rehab.

actaually, i dont think that God is too worried about his image. i think he can handle it. he is not freakin out right now. let me tell ya, for centuries God has withstood countless attempts to lessen his divinity. i can assure you, He is not going anywhere. He is going to get thru this.

with that in mind. here is what we can do. knowing that God is bigger than we can imagine, we can go to Him with any and every problem. He can handle it. He can handle it if you are upset with Him. if you dont like Him, if you dont understand Him, if you have something to say to Him, He can handle it. He is real. He will answer you. He is powerful. its hard to believe but He can handle anything we come up with.

they found jesus

after the press conference about the lost tomb of jesus people were scared to death about this film made by james cameron. once again, the name of the film is, "the lost tomb of jesus". they claim that they have found the tomb and remains of jesus.

so they found jesus. i guess we should cancel easter. the easter bunny is gonna be unemployed. now that they have "proven" that jesus body is still buried in a tomb, what are we gonna do? sense my sarcasm? hope so.

if this film is true then christianity is a fraud.. we should all go find another religion. atheism would be appropriate.
this film is a total fraud. here is why. i have been researching this today to make sure i understood this all. i am overwhelmed by the amount of information. i have much to say about this. i found some great info on http://www.y-zine.com/yjesus.htm. thanks to some of you readers who helped me search. this was worded really well so i willl let this be my thoughts.

1. Why don’t Cameron and Jacobovici cite scholars who disagree with their conclusions? For example, in 1996, when the British Broadcasting Corp. aired a short documentary on the same subject, archaeologists challenged the claims. In fact, the vast majority of archaeologists dispute their claim.

2. Since the custom was to bury the dead in their home town, why would Mary and Joseph’s family tomb be in Jerusalem instead of Nazareth? Middle East researcher and biblical anthropologist Joe Zias states, "It has nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus, he was known as Jesus of Nazareth, not Jesus of Jerusalem, and if the family was wealthy enough to afford a tomb, which they probably weren't, it would have been in Nazareth, not here in Jerusalem.” Zias dismisses Cameron's claims as "dishonest".

3. Why didn’t Jesus’ enemies, the Jewish leaders, expose the tomb? They searched unsuccessfully throughout Jerusalem for any evidence of Jesus’ body, claiming that Jesus’ disciples had stolen it. They hated Jesus enough to want him crucified, and would have been elated to discover his tomb, if it indeed existed.

4. Why didn’t the Romans expose the inscriptions as belonging to Jesus? Roman soldiers controlled the entire city of Jerusalem, and they knew his body was missing from a tomb they had been guarding.

5. Why didn’t contemporary Roman or Jewish historians write about the tomb? Not one single contemporary historian mentions the tomb in question.

6. Why was the James Ossuary, which has been labeled a forgery, cited by Cameron and Jacobovici as one of the reasons for the tomb‘s validity? CBS News correspondent Mark Philips reports “the archeological establishment has lined up to label this claim as bunk. This is the second time The Discovery Channel has been involved in a disputed claim about an ancient tomb,” reports Phillips. The man at the center of the previous case is now facing trial for forgery.” Ben Witherington, an early Christianity expert who was deeply involved with the James Ossuary, says “there are physical reasons to believe it couldn't have originated in the Talpiot plot.”

7. Why are Jacobovici and Cameron waiting until just prior to Easter to launch both the book and documentary? Amos Kloner, the first archaeologist to examine the site, said the idea fails to hold up by archaeological standards but makes for profitable television. "They just want to get money for it," Kloner said.
8. Why would Jesus’ disciples endure torture for claiming he was resurrected, if they knew it was a hoax? New Testament scholar Darrell Bock asks, “why would Jesus' family or followers bury his bones in a family plot and then turn around and preach that he had been physically raised from the dead?"

JESUS’ TOMB DISCOVERED IN INDIA?

So called experts claim to have discovered Jesus’ tomb in India. The website [http://www.tombofjesus.com] cites eight lines of evidence that leads to the conclusion that Jesus was buried in Srinagar, Kashmir, India. Among other “evidence” it cites:

“The Tomb of Yus Asaph is a fascinating site. The tomb is said to be that of a Prophet who came from a foreign land. His parables, teachings, and burial direction all suggest he was Jesus Christ.”

JESUS’ TOMB DISCOVERED IN JAPAN?

Another theory puts Jesus’ tomb in the Shingo Village (Herai) in Japan. This is also supposedly based upon solid evidence from scholars. For example, the website, http://www.thiaoouba.com/tomb.htm cites the following as evidence:

“In 1935, Kiyomaro Takeuchi discovered a 1900 year old document stored in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, containing evidence Jesus (Joshua) born in Bethlehem to virgin Mary is buried in Herai Village in Aomori district of Japan….The document was SO authentic and new, and so explosive at the time that the Japanese government banned the document from public view and locked it in a museum in Tokyo.”

SCHOLARS’ VERDICT

So has Jesus’ tomb really been discovered? If so, is it in Jerusalem, Japan, or India---or somewhere else? They can’t all be true.

Jodi Magness, an archaeologist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, expressed irritation that the claims were made at a news conference rather than in a peer-reviewed scientific article. By going directly to the media, she said, the filmmakers "have set it up as if it's a legitimate academic debate, when the vast majority of scholars who specialize in archaeology of this period have flatly rejected this," she said.

Magness noted that at the time of Jesus, wealthy families buried their dead in tombs cut by hand from solid rock, putting the bones in niches in the walls and then, later, transferring them to ossuaries.

She said Jesus came from a poor family that, like most Jews of the time, probably buried their dead in ordinary graves. "If Jesus' family had been wealthy enough to afford a rock-cut tomb, it would have been in Nazareth, not Jerusalem," she said.

Magness also said the names on the Talpiyot ossuaries indicate that the tomb belonged to a family from Judea, the area around Jerusalem, where people were known by their first name and father's name. As Galileans, Jesus and his family members would have used their first name and home town, she said.

"This whole case [for the tomb of Jesus] is flawed from beginning to end," she said.

And that conclusion seems to be the consensus of the vast number of archaeologists. Let us hear from William G. Dever, an unbiased scholar who has been excavating ancient sites in Israel for 50 years and is widely considered the dean of biblical archaeology among U.S. scholars. Dever writes, "I'm not a Christian. I'm not a believer. I don't have a dog in this fight," said "I just think it's a shame the way this story is being hyped and manipulated."

ok. this is pretty amazing huh? very interesting stuff. here is another crazy fact. and i am not being sarcastic here. the film uses a gnostic text called the acts of phillip. this text is not to be taken seriously by anyone. it says that mary magdalene and the disciples went to preach to the world and saw many converts such as... are you ready for this? a talking leopard, and a talking goat. i guess jesus loves the goat as much as us. poor sinning goat and leopard needs jesus too? you cant be serious.

james cameron has no integrity. this film is deceptive and downright scary. for those who are weak in the faith or those who are searching, or even those who are on the fence when it comes to faith, this will send them the wrong direction. my challenge to you is, go educate yourself. watch this film it is important for you to know what it is all about. know that you know the facts you will see thru the deception and psuedoscience that is used to entice the viewer.

people have asked me about what i think about this whole thing. i have already said it. we did a 3 hour tv special on discovery channel. its called the "miracles of jesus". if you havent seen it then buy the dvd right now at www.brockgill.com
the producer that i worked with on our film from the bbc said that they also did a documentary on the so called tomb of jesus. they found it to be a fraud as well. they did this in 1996. i have much more to say about this but i will go short . for an excellent podcast on this subject listen to this http://004f597.netsolhost.com/losttomb/losttomb.mp3 it is about 45 minutes or so i believe. if you want more details about this issue then listen to it. report back here and share your thoughts.

more on lost tomb of jesus

i am researching this films findings today. so far i have found an overwhelming amount of evidence that this film is a mess. this film is, in my opinion, fraudulant. it is deceptive and misleading in every way. there is a huge agenda here in both cameron and simchu, the films producers. the agenda seems to be $$$$$$$

more on this later

lost tomb of jesus

discovery channel aired a documentary about a tomg that they claim is the tomb of jesus. they say it is his family's tomb. the most interesting thing is that they found the bone box containg the remains of jesus. i watched the documentary tonight and am continuing to watch the discussion with ted koppel. i am going to continue to study the findings and form a final opinion on all of this. i will say that the film was compelling at first glance. however i do see some problems with the film. i will not comment on the film much at this point. i am curious to hear what you guys think about all of this. did you see it? have you heard about it? what are you thinking?

i have a huge curiosity.
madtv or saturday night live? which one do most people watch?

cavemen make it in 2007

my favorite commercials are from geico. i love the ones with the cavemen trying to make it in the world today. apparantly these cavemen have feelings that have been hurt by people saying "its so easy a caveman could do it". well those cavemen are about to make it bigtime. they are developing a sitcom based on these characters. i think its a great idea. read more here http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,256188,00.html

i was just thinkin

i was jus thinkin, i really like my wife. she is so unique. she prays for people all the time. she will get an idea to pray for someone and next thing you know we will find out that that person will be in need of prayer. she has a list of people that she is currently praying for and we keep seeing the result of prayer in their lives. its so cool. it is so supernatural. God speaks to her in such amazing ways. it truly cannot be explained. i like this girl. im glad i found her. guys listen to me, find a woman that knows how to pray.
