after being out for a month i had one day at home. i woke up and ate my breakfast then went out to the back yard and hung in the hammock. it was awesome to just chill. we met some friends at our favorite thai place for lunch and then rushed over to the cocoa tree for an afternoon full of chocolate. aunys parents came by to meet us. the funny thing was that we saw some friends from maryland and from florida. auny knew these people from when she was a kid. her parents hadnt seen them for 15 years. they all just happened to bump into each other at the coca tree. wild huh?

mom rocks
my mom is so rad. she is adventurous and a thrill seeker. today she went parasailing. if you dont know what this is, then here ya go. you sit on a speed boat, hold on to a rope, and then a parachute lifts you up to 800 feet in the air. its rad. she went for it today. my dad was scared to even watch. he is so funny. my mom always surprises me. she is a trip.

i counted 14 thai restaurants between my hotel and the conference center. i saw one then another then decided to start counting. i couldnt believe it. i love thai food so there was no problem. i guess ft walton fl has alot of thai people. thai people have to eat somewhere. i think it is funny to have 14 places in a row. you like thai?

paris
welcome home paris.
as you know, paris hilton was released this week from jail. it was an amazing event with paparrazzi having a field day. i cant even imagine.
earlier this month i was hard on paris. the reason is because i am offended at drunk drivers so much. i cant believe that a drunk driver can only get a light jail sentence even after multiple offenses. it seemed at first that she was getting the star treatment, and that made it all worse for me. i think i am speaking for most of america.
ok we are past that now. i truly have compassion on that girl. i dont listen to her music, i have no time for her tv show, and i dont party with her but i still have a special interest. i have been praying for her. i want her to meet jesus. it is clear that she is not completely satisfied with life. even though she "has it all" she needs a spiritual awakening. i have truly prayed that her life would be changed.

courtesy laughs
saturday night we went to see a comedy show. before the show i told shannon and auny that we might need to practice our courtesy laugh. i got the feeling that the show wasnt going to be very good as soon as we walked in. it was small and there was no chance of us leaving without the performers really noticing. i was prepared to fake the laughs for the entire show. we used the courtesy laughs up and even added some token applause.
have you ever had to spend time with someone who was trying to be funny, and you laugh to avoid an even more awkward situation? me too. i get dumb jokes all the time. people are just trying to be nice im sure but i can assure you, i have perfected the courtesy laugh. as for the comedy show, hahahahahahahaha.........

next level
i have been working on taking my routines to the next level. i am not going to settle for good. i want to take it to great. i have always tried to do everything with excellence. now i am trying to make everything i do even better than i once imagined. here is one thing that i will tell you about. you will hear about it eventually but i thought i would break the news right here to you loyal friends.
i have been doing strait jacket escapes for many years. i have done it fast, i have done it from 13 stories in the air, i have done it in the middle of the street with cars passing by. now, i have taken it up a notch. now i am doing it on stage bare footed. barefoot, walking on a pile of broken bottles. we are getting a HUGE reaction. i believe that i am the only one in the world to attempt a strait jacket escape while walking on broken bottles. i am always pushing myself to be better at what i do. i never want to settle. i have a large amount of new material. this is just one effect that i am really into. the crowd went nuts last night as i did it on stage. i have been working on it for a while now but am just starting to let people know about it. so here ya go. and yes, i will try to maybe video it sometime soon and post it for you to see

mentoring
i am going to speak to adults this week for a seminar. one of the things that they will here me say is about mentoring. you have heard me talk about this before but i am going to hit it again. one of the most important things that i see that is missing in the church and in the real world is mentoring. i am amazed at the lack of mentoring. mentoring is one of the key things that is actually making a difference in peoples lives. when it is being done, you can see a major difference in peoples lives. many people dont have a mentor because they do not know someone who will take the time to mentor them. on the other hand, most people do not feel qualified to mentor someone. the one thing that jesus made sure of is that he poured into a handful of people. he spent most of his time with 12 men. we should all mentor someone and be mentored all at the same time. wether you are at a church or an office or a school, try to pour your life into someone and watch their life start to change. you will start a cycle that will bring change. you are being mentored, you mentor someone, they mentor someone else, together we bring change

this week marks exactly 40 years of the six day war. june 5-11 1967 israel went to war and took back their land. since 586bc, they were without control of their native land. jesus prophesied that this would happen. this week marks exactly 40 years since they took back their land. is this significant? i think this is huge. if you have watched the news lately then you will see that the end time prophecy of jesus is coming to pass very slowly. i am no expert on "end times" but im no idiot. things are happening just the way jesus said they would.

the intern
we have the world famous jessica traveling with us this summer. she is very cool. as a matter of fact she is the president of the cool kids club. jessica is 6 ft 9 inches tall. she has 1 blue eye, 1 brown eye, and 1 green eye. she is a very sweet girl. she told us today that it was because she had a sweet tooth. she even pointed it out. it was the only tooth she had. se called it her toofus. jessica can run faster than most squirrels. she can dance like a pro. she is very fond of monkeys. her favorite monkey is named james i think. her laugh is great although it cant be heard with the human ear. i have been so blessed to have met her. i just wanted to welcome jessica to florida by giving her some love here on this blog. i wish she could read. if she could maybe she would add a comment. of course it would be difficult to type with your thumbs. she thinks it is fun to only use her thumbs to do everything. you should see her trying to eat corn on the cob. its real talent. you may laugh now but you should see her using those thumbs and eat the corn with only 1 toofus. she can eat a whole one in under an hour. ok she cheats, she uses her feet.
if anyone else would like to intern please just send an email for details to info@brockgill.com

espn-changing the world of sports
congratulations to evan odorney. he is a champion athlete. the best in the entire nation. this kid is only about 12 years old but he is one of the best athletes on the planet. i watched his stellar performance on espn tonight. the espn network is a sports channel as you know. they are known for 24 hour a day sports coverage right? i thought so too. apparently there is s new really popular sport. a sport so popular that it gets prime time exposure. the "sport" i am talking about is the national spelling bee. i think gatorade was the sponsor, i dunno. since when did spelling become a sport? this is offensive. think about all of the sports fans out there who were looking for a baseball game or even golf(some call that a sport too) but they ended up with a kid trying to spell hbfighw or bwfjnfbhfjn. i dont know whats going on espn. you make me laugh
must be nice
must be nice to be able to buy anything on the planet, even freedom. if you are rich and famous then you dont have to pay for your crimes. do the crime but dont worry about the time. thats the message we are sending. no wonder people from other countries are disgusted by americans. we worship celebrities by flooding our airwaves with gossip and interest about people who are totally disfunctional celebrities. if they can act in a movie are sing a song we worship them. if they get in trouble we give them a book deal. if they mess up we give them a talk show. i am no lawyer, but it seems kinda funny to give someone a "get outa jail" card because they are distressed. lets think about this. what message are we sending? here is what i am hearing, some people are rich and will be privileged and the rest of us...
what a mom
my mom was interviewing someone for a job this week. the applicant was hoping to get a job but she got something else instead. as the interview ended my mom and the lady talked for a while. long story short, the lady got saved. my mom is cool
rip current
today, after my show, i ate lunch at a little place right near the beach. the food was ok the service was bad but. as we were waiting 45 minutes for the salad i hear someone yelling for help. i saw a guy out in the water and i knew that he was probably caught in a riptide. everyone on the beach just watched him because they didnt know what to do. i ran out there and jumped in the water. i swam out to the guy to try to help him. as i got to him a jet ski came out and towed us back in. then we realized that there was another guy who was in trouble. it took about 5 of us locking arms but we finally got him back to shore. both of those guys thanked us and went back to the hotel. they were embarrassed but alive.
before you go to the beach, learn about riptide. its real, its almost invisible, and its dangerous. if you want to be safe then stay shallow.

little by little
remember the movie shawshank redemption? there was a guy who dug his
way out of prison. he would fill his pocket with dirt every night and
empty it into the yard during their break outside. eventually he was
able to dig a tunnel all the way to freedom.
there is a principle that i have been trying to live by. its simple,
little by little. any big job is accomplished little by little.
anything that is huge can only be accomplished by doing a little at a
time. example, if you want to build a high rise building, you would
build it one piece at a time. if you wanted to write a book, you
write one word at a time, one chapter at a time. the end product can
be very large without even realizing it when you go little by little.
i have dreams and goals that are bigger than i can imagine sometime.
as i look back at what i have done with my life i see that everything
great that i have accomplished was done little by little. if i
continue to go forward taking huge goals and attacking them little by
little, that will be the only way to get it done.
sometimes we get overwhelmed and think that we cant do some things in
life but they may not be so far out of reach. phillipians says that
you can do all things with gods help. i believe that. we dont trust
that it is possible sometimes. if we would just take it on little by
little you might be surprised. whether it is college, or retirement,
or building a friendship, it is all accomplished little by little.

maxim- foam party
today a guy on the street invited us to a party that was being sponsored by maxim magazine. it was a foam party. i wasnt sure what that was all about so i asked the guy about it. he said "its like a big bubble bath". he said that it was for high school graduates. most of the ages of the kids are from "age 17 to 21...there will be free beer ". i couldnt believe what i was hearing. just last night, right in front of our hotel, was a kid who was under age and too drunk to walk straight. he got hit by a van as he stumbled into the street. we think he might live, but who knows. his stupid drunk high school friends were trying to treat him themselves so they wouldnt get in trouble. anyway, i called the sheriffs office and got the fax machine, so i faxed over a complaint. actually i called a few other numbers until i got someone on the line. i told them that im here in panama city holding a flier that says " free beer... all ages welcome". the guy from the sheriffs office said they would keep an eye out.
parents, if maxim comes to your community to do a club party, dont let them.

tv pitch
keep this on the low low. we have been working on a tv show for a few months now. we are in the middle of a formal pitch to a major network right now. its very exciting to be talking to this network. its just cool to be a part of. anyway, these things move very slow and honestly almost never happen. this whole thing is a long shot but we are trying to do it anyway. you never know unless you try. God has really brought alot of things together for this thing. i wish i could tell you all the details but my secrecy is sworn on this one. as soon as i know something i will let ya know. just pray that everything goes the way He wants it to go. thats all i care about.

baja blast
i havent had the chance to tell you guys about my mexico trip. i had a baja blast. we went down into mexico and rode dirt bikes for 2 days. we rode about 150 miles. it was race week so we rode some of the baja 500 course with some of the other racers. i crashed one time in a corner and ended up with a strawberry arm and a stretched shoulder. it was kinda scary but i was able to keep riding. we ate tacos at these little taco stands. they were being made by hand right in front of us. they would roll the dough and then cook the tortilla then cook up the meat and slap it on the taco. it was the best taco in the world. it was so fresh. we had so much fun. we were only there for 3 days but it was so perfect. it was like having a 2 week vacation. there is just something about being out of the country, in the middle of nowhere, away from cell phones, without tv, no internet, and on my bike. that is my happy place. it doesnt get any better than that.

aint dead yet
im still kickin. it is gonna take more than a wasp to get me down. actually i felt like a wimp. i get stung by one little wasp and i have to go see a doctor. wasup with dat? i guess the first 10 times i got stung it didnt matter but this time was very different. i felt like fire was under my skin. about 30 minutes after i got stung i felt it start. i was miserable. my eye started to swell shut and my ears were itching. then my whole body broke out into huge whelps. auny and lucas looked at me and got scared and said its time to go to the hospital. when we walked in people panicked like i had leprosy or something. it was kinda fun to watch people freak out. after a couple of shots i started getting back to normal. then i passed out asleep for about 4 hours. wow, what a day.
today i feel much better. i am going strong again. it is just a reminder for me and for all of you to always pray. i need you guys to pray for me daily. if you are new to this blog then here ya go. this is what i ask for people to pray for. power, protection, and provision. as we begin the summer tour we will desperately rely on God for power, protection, and provision
