just me

i am rarely alone. there always seems to be people around me. sometimes it is strangers on a plane or a restaurant and sometimes it is just auny. i like people. i am very much a people person and therefore spend alot of time around people. this weekend it has been just me. today i rode my dirt bike at a racetrack. i had a blast doing it. after that i made myself some dinner and chilled out near the back porch. as i was sitting there i saw a huge deer walk up to the porch. it was an 8 point buck. i was amazed at how close he was. seconds later i saw 3 more big bucks come near the house. these deer were some of the biggest deer i have seen in years. i watched them make their way back into the woods and disappear. i have also been reading alot. it is hard for me to read when anyone is around because i get distracted. i am about to end the day by building a fire and listening to music on th back porch. it feels good to be alone sometimes.

criss angel

every interview i do i get asked about criss angel. everyday i have people ask me about what i think about criss angel. he has a show on tv called mindfreak. i was actually on his show recently. it is a very successful series featuring criss doing all sorts of magic tricks, illusions, and stunts. we are very similar in creativity. sometimes it is scary how we both create effects that are the same. anyway, people want to know what i think about him, so here ya go.

i think criss is a nice guy. he is always very friendly to me and he is very down to earth. people think that he is using black magic to do his tricks. that is exactly what he, and the network executives, want you to believe. for people to think that it could be real magic causes controversy. guess what, controversy sells. i can assure you, 100%, without a doubt, he is not supernatural. everything you see him do on tv is a trick. when a person cant figure things out they tend to believe that it has to be supernatural. it makes them feel better about themselves to believe that than to believe they have been fooled. everything that you see him do could be done by most of you reading this. with enough practice you could do illusions that seem completely impossible. you could levitate, or escape from ropes, or pull a card out of the air. it is not supernatural, its illusion. here is a thought, dont believe everything you see on tv. when superman flies around the world, it is an illusion. when spiderman scales the wall, it is a trick to fool the eyes. for some reason its ok to watch the movies but when a magician does a trick people want to think that they are making a deal with the devil. dont be fooled, its all illusions. im telling you the truth, as a follower of jesus and a bible believer, i can show you how to do everything you see on tv. its not supernatural.

criss angel has done some great things for the art of magic. he has made magic cool, and relevant. for that i thank him. its great for me.
and oh, if you do ask me to tell you how he(or we) do it, never
i have signed too much paperwork

separated

i dont like being separated from my girl. auny is in texas today seeing her momma. i went to georgia for a show without her. it is not fun trying to do a show without her. i dont even know how to do a show without her. i didnt even know what to do on stage. the truth is that she does all the tricks for me and i just take all the credit. tonights show was just me standing on a stage with a big stare on my face. i didnt really do much because i was like paralyzed without her. i hope this never happens again.

actually, the show went great. i dont like doing it without her but we were able to pull it off just the 3 of us. shannon kicked it as usual, and sean the intern filled in the gaps.

auny, hope you had fun in texas. now get you butt home

see ya

today is "see ya at the pole". for those who dont know, that is when christians across america gather around the flag pole at the school and pray for their school. i think that today is a powerful day. i support this 100%. for people to set aside this time to put away all differences and ignore anything that creates disunity to focus together and pray for their school is amazing. this is very significant. we dont allow prayer in the classroom in this country. but this happens before school starts. it is a loophole. it is perfectly legal for students to pray anytime at school. a student can even lead a bible study but a teacher cannot do it during school time. today is a day where those things do not matter because millions of students are actually praying. it is estimated that 2 million students will gather to pray. i love this. my only problem is this, dont go to the flagpole to pray if you dont live for jesus. and, dont go pray at the flagpole for one day. pray for your school always. whether you go to a flagpole or not doesnt matter. the point is this, live a holy life and pray always

i need to hear

i have so many big things going on right now. i really need to hear God. i cant afford to not hear his voice right now. i have some huge direction decisions to make right now that will affect me and auny as well as many other people. i need to always hear God and see his direction, but now is even more important.
please pray for me as i take time to just seek and listen.

save the unicorns

tennessee is banning unicorn hunting this year. apparently the unicorns are becoming rare and endangered. i guess it is a good thing. i mean, when is the last time you have even seen a unicorn? i havent seen a real unicorn since i was 11 years old. now that i think about it i realize that we need to do something about the unicorns. they are never seen at the circus anymore. they should have a unicorn featured at the circus to bring attention to them. most zoos dont even have a unicorn section. i dont know what they are thinking. every zoo should get a unicorn.
here is what we should do. everyone reading this should call their senator and demand a unicorn at every zoo in america. together we can have a voice, together we can make a difference, together we can...save the unicorns

one city at a time

for years i have asked God to use me to make an impact on the world. i am now realizing that it is happening. it is happening one city at a time. i love seeing an answer to my prayers. this week we did a big event in a small city. we were in a city that only had about 1000 people. last night there were over 2200 people at the show. most of them do not go to church. they heard the message and many believed. that community is different now. i want more

done

its 215 am. we just finished loading out the show and back at the hotel. it was an amazing night. it was probably the best night we have had ever at freedom experience. the building was packed. the fire marshal said we were over capacity. everyone on the stage was on their "a" game. the bands both killed it. the outcast bmx guys did it huge. the end of the show was so fun, because we all joined group one crew on the stage for a dance and a big exit. it was so great to be a part of.

after load out we had to drive away but we were stuck.. i will tell you all about it later.

check www.myspace.com/freedomexperience to see some pics from ky fx. and on monday you can see the va fx pics

jkjdkjff. part 2

ok. i am awake now. i needed to sleep so badly.
we are doing freedom experience in virginia. we have been doing shows in schools around here as a part of our big shows at night. here is what we have seen.
each morning we wake up early and go to a school. these schools have a really bad reputation because of the drug problems. the worst drug problems in america are in this area. they have actually been on the cover of time magazine. that is why we have been working so hard in these schools. we have been doing a show and a message that encourages people to make good choices with their life.
the drug problem in this area is so bad. we were hearing stories that seemed hard to believe. they said that 40% of the people who are pulled over by the police are under the influence. when a building supply store wanted to hire some people recently they were asked to take a drug test. all 18 people failed the drug test. when another business owner told me that he tried to hire someone, 16 people were sent for a drug test and 15 failed. the one who passed was addicted to methadone. a school teacher told me that she had 25 students in her class. 6 were crack babies.

do you see why we are working so hard. we are trying to make a difference in these schools. even though we cannot talk about our faith at the school, the holy spirit is still working. we can see people start to get it.

tonight we will be performing at freedom experience. then we can say whatever we want. many people will come and hear the truth about how they can be changed forever.

jnrfjgnf;

thanks for the comments. and because you asked, i will post today.

this was the lamest blog i have ever done. my apologies

Grundy, VA

We are in a little town called Grundy, VA doing a Freedom Experience. There are less than 1000 people in the city. We are finding out more about this town. The drug use is rampant! This is where we will be ministering for the next few days. Pray for Grundy as well as Brock. He is worn out.

hill climbing

today i went and rode dirt bikes. i went by myself out to an area near my house. after riding for a while i saw some other riders gathering next to a big hill. i knew what that meant. somebody was about to attempt the big hill climb. here is what i am talking about. the idea is to ride the dirt bike up to a hill that is very steep and try to make it to the top without crashing or stalling out. it is alot of fun but it can be very dangerous. i love doing the hill climbs but i know my limits. today i saw something that i didnt think was possible. imagine a 50 foot hill that most people would call a cliff. now imagine a guy ride up it on a dirt bike. it was insane. this guy is an amazing rider. he has been hurt badly doing this before but he was dumb enough to try it again.

here is an idea of what we were doing
(this is not us, but yopu can get the idea)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6dzfEQuOEGg

or another

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_S3lgAROUPc&mode=related&search=

imagine doing what you just watched but straight up. the hill was so steep that no one could come near to walking or climbing up it.. if i were skiing i wouldnt dare go down it.
we did find one that was a little bit smaller, but just as steep, that the rest of us could climb. well some of us. it was straight up. i was up for the challenge. i did it safely. you would all be proud.
next time i will bring the camera.

put people first

i try to put people first as much as i can. usually it works out that it is most beneficial to me to do that. every time i go to a restaurant i try to make the waiter feel good. i try to make them feel like i care about them. i thank them as much as i can and compliment the food. i try to make them feel like they did an awesome job. well here is what happens. first of all, they smile. they seem to have a better day. also, i get some perks. last night we were at pf changs, one of my favorite places to eat, and our waiter remembered us from a couple of months ago. he was so excited to wait on us. he said that he remembered us and where we were sitting at the table. apparently we had been extra nice to him because we wanted our table. before our meal came out, he brought out a new dish for us to try for free. he totally hooked us up with free food. auny and i realized that this sort of thing happens to us all the time. i think it is because we are just being nice. being kind to people really pays off. its not like i am trying to get something from people. when i am nice it makes me feel good. tonight we at another place and i watched the waiters fight over who was going to wait on me. they knew that i was going to treat them nice and therefore wanted to take care of me.
i think people need to take notice. notice people, and you will make a difference.

kathy grifin is lost

there are people who are very upset about what kathy griffins comment during her acceptance speech for her emmy. if you havent heard what she said here it is, but be warned. if you are easily offended then stop reading now and come back tomorrow. here ya go. kathy said, "A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. Suck it, Jesus. This award is my god now." wow huh? thats messed up.

here are my thoughts. what do you expect? im not surprised, this is america. we have lost our way. we have neglected God in so many ways and this has become normal everyday talk for much of america. this is not a "hollywood" problem. this is america. but, this is a free country, she can say whatever she wants to say. we dont have to believe or agree. but we also dont have to listen to it. we dont have to watch her programs. honestly, i dont blame her. she is lost. lost people act lost. people think that her comments are the unforgivable sin. i would rather someone say that they hate God and be honest than for someone to say they are "cool" with God for political gain. what is worse? a politician using God to get ahead, or someone making fun of jesus. its the same thing. we shouldnt be shocked, this is america. lost people act lost.
what are we going to do about it. how do we love people who offend us in the most extreme way?

toy plane

so heres the deal, i have a show tomorrow afternoon in kansas. the only flight that could get me there was leaving tuesday morning at 755am. thats just wrong. we flew to denver then got on the smallest plane in the world. it didnt even have a bathroom. there was no flight attendants. there was not even a door on the cockpit. there was only 1 seat on each row. they didnt even bother making us turn off our phones. they just said "hey this is thepilot and we are leaving so sit down". it was crazy. i felt like we were flying on a toy plane. it had to be the smallest working airplane for passengers. wow, welcome to kansas

a funny combination

today i did a show in nashville for a retailers convention. bookstore owners from around the country came together for an annual gathering and i was one of the artists asked to perform.
picture this, lots of business people sitting in comfortable chairs, and me walking on glass. it was funny. to top it all off, jars of clay was there too singing christmas songs. yep christmas songs. they were promoting to the retail people the songs for the christmas season. so here we are, suits and tie people, jars of clay doing christmas songs, and me barefoot walking on glass. i told you it was a funny combination

blah

so after much hype about britneys big come back, all i can say is blah. the 2007 mtv vma awards was an all around blah. the first 20 minutes of the show was a total bomb. i thought the show would get canceled before the first commercial break. there was so much hype, britney was working with criss angel to create a huge shocking come back. the only come back i saw was the predictable lip sync and stripper poles. the thing about these stupid award shows is that im not sure people really care. i watched it out of curiosity. i think it was a big waste of time. im amazed at how shallow the talent pool is and how in your face it all is. really rich people throwing money all around and having a party as the rest of the world sits at home and watches. its kinda weird. and one more thing, carrie underwood got robbed. so sad... blah...oh wait, nevermind. i wrote this right before the end of the show actually aired. they just had on miss teen south carolina. "and such as, the iraq, and uh.. i personally believe".

river rat

today we decided to go canoing. we rented canoes from a little place down the road called "river rat". it was a 5 mile trip down the duck river. it was so beautiful. we had a great time with our friends. it was tough to paddle all that way. the river doesnt flow very fast so we paddled the entire time. it took us about 2 hours to do it all. it started raining on us near the end. it was no big deal but we were ready to see the end. after that we headed home for a party at our house. we grilled the famous burgers and made a bombfire. we had about 25 people here hanging out and eating up the food. we had a blast with everyone.
does that mean we had 2 happy fun days in a row?

what a doofus

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,296008,00.html

happy fun day

today we will call it a "happy fun day". "happy fun days" are when you just go play. you do nothing but fun stuff. auny invented the "happy fun days". today we are going to have some fun. i am not quite sure what all we do but i know that it will involve some good food and maybe some chocolate. i mean alot of chocolate. i am not very good at being romantic. im not even good at quality time. i could use some help in that department. but today i am going to take my gangsta out on a date and have some fun.. maybe we will hop on a train, maybe we will swim in a creek, maybe we will do prank phone calls, or maybe we will go put in a job application to be the mayor. who knows, who cares, just as long as we are not working auny will have fun. i declare today as national "happy fun day".

go have some fun

galactic conquest

so i am here at my house hanging out. the boys from eleventy seven punk rock band are staying at my house. they are here stopping by to say hello and spend the night before heading to their next show in oklahoma. auny made some muffins andfklrjjjjjk./.;;i.

mwuuahhaahhhahaaa!!! Say goodbye to your little magic friend brock, children! Apperently he wasn't magical enough to foresee this jar of smuckers preserves i just cracked over his head. this is the evil professor mattavius from eleventyseven. yes its true, our new cd came out yesterday, and you can buy it in stores now. HAHAHA!!! yes, yes, stores are wonderful. But be careful, our new cd has a mind of its own, an artificial intelligence unsurpassed by any sort of cheap mentalism and frou frou magic trickery. Not even brock gill was able to stop it from coming out, and conquering the galaxy. So, either buy the cd and join the revolution, or meet the same smucker cracking fate as your magician friend here......mwuahhah mwuahaha!!!! AAAAHHHAAAA! (flies away in space ship)

media morning

this morning will i will be doing interviews for radio stations. we will be talking about the new dvd "standing room only". i have to start at 7am. that is way too early to talk on the radio. i am hoping that we get good press so that people will get this dvd. it is important for people to see so that they can get an idea of what freedom experience is all about.

pray that it goes well. also keep praying for me to hear direction.

hearing God

this week i am going to try to take time to really hear God. there are some things going on that i really want to hear his voice for direction. i want you guys to help me pray for this. i am at a place where i just need to hear direction. i could make plans myself but i am not sure that i would be the best planner. the reason is, i dont know the future. i need to know what God wants from me, and where He wants me to be. i have been doing what i do full time for 10 years. i think that i could continue to do this for another 10 years. but, how is what i want to hear. what are the details and changes God wants me to make. i want to do it His way. my way might work. my way will be good. but Gods way will blow you away. so i want to hear HIs direction. please pray for me as i try my best to open my hears.

july 4th

aunys favorite holiday is july 4th. i realize today is labor day and many of th same activities will be in store for today. i guess the fireworks will be missed. i was trying to think about what my favorite holiday is. im not really sure. i think it could be arbor day. maybe, presidents day? anyway, i was just wondering, what is your favorite holiday?

oh and tell me why.

and oh yea, what are you doing today on labor day? swimming? snow skiing?

no shannon

we forgot to bring shannon to this show. actually she had a wedding to go to. we thought we could do it without her. boy were we wrong. i guess we did do it without her but it was tough. auny ran around doing both jobs for 4 hours straight. she did sound and her normal stage stuff at the same time.
the show was amazing. it was TOTALLY packed out. i think it seated 1000 people. they were standing room only in that place. it felt good to see that. we also had 71 people choose to follow Jesus. very cool.
even though we had no shannon we were able to see God work in an amazing way. i did learn a lesson, we need shannon.
