chocolate changes lives

we are going to use chocolate to change peoples lives. ya know, auny told a story that i was gonna tell ya today so just read her blog for the story then come back here.

ok, so here is the idea. from now on we are not going to just have parties. we are gonna have parties with a purpose. we are starting with a chocolate tasting. everyone is invited to come taste exclusive chocolate from select countries. then we are going to present the need or mission project and give people a chance to give money to meet the need. when i was sitting in that small little house in ecuador and realized that their monthly mortgage payment($13) is what i spent on lunch i knew how rich i was. my friend spence realized that their mortgage was the same price as 3 lattes. they owe $430 on the house. this christmas we raised $400 to give to a family in need just by putting a cup at the door. how easy would it be to raise some money and pay off an entire mortgage? i thought we can do this. as i sat there listening to these girls sing in spanish i said in my mind, "we are going to do this". after they get the house paid off they will be able to get their business going and will be able to provide a decent living for those girls.

i was reminded today that everything that we have is not ours. it is only under our control to be used Gods way. we are stewards of what God gives us. i am ready to make a difference. i dont know about you but i am not gonna live the american dream. i wanna change the world

Pray with me about an idea I have to help raise the money. It involves our Wednesday night Awana kids. Pray for an open door. I'll let you know more later.
