i got a limp
i am pretty rough on my body. i do some crazy things day after day on stage and off. monday was a very rough day. here is what happened.
i woke up and ran 3 miles. then i went to a show and rehearsed. during the show i was doing the "blind ride" stunt where i get blindfolded and ride a dirt bike thru the place and jump the bike off of the stage. as i was doing the stunt during the show i hit a slick spot on the floor and crashed the bike. i hit the concrete hard and banged up my knees pretty good. this happened in the middle of the show. later in the show i did the ladder trick. this is where i jump off of a big ladder onto the ground. anyway, it hurt very badly because my knees were so busted up. after the show we headed for the hotel. as we were dragging luggage up the steps i felt my foot give out. i couldnt walk for the next 36 hours. apparently my foot was dislocated. my bones are not broken but took a beating so bad that they just gave up. i am going to be slow for a while but hope to make a fast recovery. thanks for the prayers. there is the story. sorry i couldnt get to this sooner.

this is why you need a full time athletic trainer on staff (aka, me!) hate to hear about your knees and your foot!! take care of yourselves and RICE...rest, ice, compression, elevation!!!!!! call if you need anything or have any questions!
I will continue to pray for you and I hope you are close to normalcy soon. Because let's face it Brock you are no where near normal.
Thanks for filling us in. Will you have to cancel shows because of it?
ooo, that's not good. I'll pray for you. And add to your agenda a little of excersice every day.
I will pray for you! I haven't visited your site lately and now I hear about this injury, I am keeping you in my prayers and I will mention you and your wife in church.
Brock just heard about your injury from our pastor, where you laid the bike over, I saw you lay the bike over but thought you were ok because you got up so fast, thedid the ladder trick, you were moving a little slower, but thought if I had just jumped off a ladder I would be happy to be moving at all, any way not sure if you were told but 109 souls came to Jesus that night, of that over 70 of them were first time decisions. I know I can speak for almost everyone we WILL be asking you to come back again, this time accident free. We will be praying for a speedy recovery... KEEP THE FAITH
