a few months ago we started having parties with a purpose. the idea is this, have a party and spread the word to all who attend about a mission need and then raise the money. we usually ask people to put in around $10 to meet the need. tonight we had a "party with a purpose". here is the story.

last month we felt like we needed to bless a friend of mine who is a missionary. he is a very different kind of missionary. he moved his family to hollywood and ministers to actors and people who are in the film and tv industry. he is influencing those who influence the world. anyway, i called travis and said that we wanted to do something for his family. i wanted to know what needs they had that we could meet. i said we wanted to do something for them around june. he said that he had an idea. he and his wife delaine are expecting a surprise baby in june and they needed a shower. i said, "done". tonight we have about 20 or so people here having a party and we are going online to target.com and buying things on their gift registry. we are also collecting money that we will take to them next week so they can get all of what they need. it was really amazing to see how God brought this all together.

here is how you can get involved. go to www.target.com click on the registry. search for travis crim as the father and you will find the registry. you can buy 1 or 2 things and it will ship to them. it is easy. you will need to set up an account, it takes 2 minutes. this is going to blow them away when strangers from all over the country give them a shower. i cannot think of a better way to spend my tax rebate.

first of all let me tell you what we did for our anniversary. we woke up and chilled out at the house. then ate lunch at a great seafood place. then a movie. we saw ironman. we likes it. then we had sushi. for dessert we went to aux choux where i had a surprise set up for auny. she loves warm desserts. she also loves fondue. there is no place to get fondue anymore so i set it up with the chef at aux choux to make us a fondue chocolate presentation. it was amazing. we had mango, banana, strawberry, cheesecake, vanilla cake, cookies, and some other things that we dipped in chocolate. wow, what fun. then we came home and looked thru our picture albums. we have pictures from the last 9 years all in albums around the house. we decided to look at them. it took quite a while.

ok, trivia. how many albums do we have? 9 years of marriage, traveled all over the world. we love pictures. how many albums did we look at?????

may 8 is a very special day. it is a day to remember. may 8 is my anniversary. today is a day that i have set aside each year to devote to my lady friend. auny is my favorite person in the world and all i care about is making her happy. i have one goal today. it is the same goal i have everyday, to make her laugh. her smile is intoxicating. when she smiles, all of my problems go away.
i got an idea, go to her blog and say something funny to her. leave her some great comments that will make her smile. that will be good for her and me.
and auny, if you are reading this, i have a surprise for you

it has been so busy lately. i finally have a chance to be home and catch up on things. today i rode by bike for 8 miles then tried to run but i didnt get very far. i was outta shape.

today we are working on final edits for the new video project. i am so excited. i am about to see the project for the first time start to finish.

miracles in maryland

Last nights show was awesome. We had 1000 people there. It was such a great night. This new show is full of surprises as well as powerful content. There is just something amazing that is felt when we talk about jesus. The entire show is an eye opening experience for people. I love it. Can't wait to do it again next week in memphis.

miracle show in maryland

We are driving to maryland for the second miracles show. We broke down e hours into the trip. We tried calling AAA to get a tow but we didn't have much cell phone service. We got disconnected a few times as we were giving our info. About that time a tow truck from AAA showed up. He couldn't tow us but he called another tow truck for us. We then dropped our trailer on the side of the road and were towed to a nearby town. We couldn't find the right radiator hose at the parts store so the guy improvised. He found a hose that he cut to make work. 2 hours later we were back on the road.
Thanks to all of you twitter followers who were praying for a miracle. We got our truck fixed on a saturday in the middle of now where in only 2 hours.

i am very proud of david blaine. he has overcome failure and set backs to become the new record holder of holding his breathe under water. he failed an attempt once before on live tv but came back on oprahs show to prove he can do the impossible. congrats to david blaine

my girl likes to call it a happy fun day. that is when we take off and just have fun. we had thai for lunch then saw a movie. then got a massage then dinner with friends. we topped it all off with dessert at our new favorite place called aux choux.

we finished filming for the new dvd yesterday. it went awesome. we couldnt ask for better weather and participants. the director, ben smallbone of radiant films, did an amazing job. he is so creative. he has such a good eye for this thing. i trust that he is going to produce the best project possible. you guys are going to love this new dvd. i cant wait for it to be ready. we expect it to be finishedvery soon and will release it sometime this summer. i havent heard the details on all of that yet but will keep you all informed.

all of the new routines went well. i was nervous about doing some of them because they were so new. also, when i perform on stage it is much different to perform close up for the camera.

thanks for praying for us. it went so smooth because of the prayer. i want to thank everyone for coming our. we even had someone drive from mississippi to be a part of it. very successful day. im tired now, it was a long day.

Wednesday is the final phase of shooting for our dvd. the new dvd titled "Alive on Stage" will hopefully be in full editing mode after tomorrow. be praying for us as we film this final and very important day. this is going to be a long day. we have several people involved to make this all go well. i am doing many new routines for this dvd so pray that they all go well and that they look good on film.

everyone is wanted and more than welcome to join us for a special street performance that will be filmed for the new up and coming dv. here are some details.

carpools can meet at cool springs starbucks at 1130am on wed.
someone will be there with a sign that says "bg magic".

you will ride with us down to a location and be a member of the street audience. you will be on camera. you can dress casual street clothes or whatever you are wearing.

you will be returned to the starbucks at around 6pm unharmed

we need you and all of your friends to attend. no children please.

we finished the outreach last night in wichita. the building was soo packed full of people. it was over capacity with about 2500 people counted. there were another 268 people who made a decision to follow jesus. it was so wonderful to see such an impact on this city.

we will be here today and sunday doing another performance in a church here called westlink christian church. i am praying for the seeds to be watered in this area. as soon as auny recovers i will get some pics and vids up for you to see

EXPELLED Producers to Yoko Ono: Let It Be

(Dallas, TX) - A new front has been opened in the culture wars. Ben Stein's EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed stunned detractors by opening as the nation's #10 movie last weekend. Out for less than one week, it has already become one of the top 25 documentaries of all time.

Opponents of the film have attacked everyone and everything in it. They have attacked the producers, the star, the music, and film itself. They have even attacked those who have seen it. Now they want to change the Constitution.

Yoko Ono and others have now filed lawsuits challenging the film's use and critique of John Lennon's song Imagine. One of the suits seeks to ban free speech through preliminary injunctive relief which essentially means that they are trying to expel EXPELLED as it is now being shown in theaters.

"If you really listen to the lyrics of Imagine then you realize that it represents everything that the Neo-Darwinists want. 'Imagine there's no Heaven...No hell below us...Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too...' That's exactly what the Darwinist establishment wants to do: get rid of religion. And that's what we point out when we play less than 15 seconds of the song and show some of the lyrics on screen," said Walt Ruloff Executive Producer and CEO of Premise Media.

Executive Producer and Chairman of Premise Media Logan Craft explained, "The fair use doctrine is a well established principle that gives the public the right to freely use portions of copyrighted materials for the purposes of commentary and criticism. While some may not like what we have to say or how we say it, we have the free speech right to do so - just as other political and social commentators have been doing for years."

Premise did not pursue a license for the song and had no obligation to do so. Unbiased viewers of the film will see that the Imagine clip was used as part of a social commentary in the exercise of free speech. The brief clip - consisting of a mere 10 words - was used to contrast the messages in the documentary and was not used as an endorsement of EXPELLED.

But the irony of this lawsuit was not lost on the film's star Ben Stein, "So Yoko Ono is suing over the brief Constitutionally protected use of a song that wants us to 'Imagine no possessions'? Maybe instead of wasting everyone's time trying to silence a documentary she should give the song to the world for free? After all, 'imagine all the people sharing all the world...You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the World can live as one.'"

last night we had 2000 people crammed in the place. there was no seats available. 150 people couldnt get in. 235 people chose to follow christ.

We are now in the middle of freedom experience in kansas. It has been a good start so far. We have had some opposition in some things but God is using it for the best. I am excited about what God is gonna do here.

tonight we went to an artist appreciation dinner for compassion international. the speaker was tony neeves. here is a couple of things he said. im quoting him from memory here

"third world people press their faces against the windows of our lives because of technology, internet, tv etc. and they feel as if they have no hope. it is because they are seeing soap operas and game shows on tv and see how we live. they cant afford a bowl of rice. they realize they have nothing and have no hope.

also, churches in western world are far more introverted than third world churches. this must change.

and, third world churches are growing fast in some areas not because of a great pastor or sermons but they are loving people and meeting needs. then the community sees the love and want what they have."

it was much more effective when tony spoke but that was the idea in a nutshell.

i wss inspired and motivated to focus. i want to make my life as much like jesus as possible.

the question is this, are we living new testament faith or 21st century western faith?

i dont want the standard faith that is found at the bookstore or in the pews of most american churches, i want what jesus showed his disciples...

this week is gma week in nashville. every year there is a time for all music artists and media come together for a time of fun. they even allow an illusionist or two, maybe some authors, jugglers and other people. anyway, gma started today. i plan to spend all day monday taking part in a few meetings. we are starting the day with doing a chocolate tasting for some execs from compassion international.

after we are done with mondays festivities we will bored a plane for kansas to do a freedom exprience. please pray for us this week. we will be in wichita thru sunday with our team. we are actually going to have some new people with us. it is going to be a big week. pray for us to see the power of God as well as his protection and provision. i will give you updates as we go.

triathalon

i am training now for my first triathalon. as you may know i started running last summer. i wanted to be in better shape so i just took off. my plan was to run a half marathon but i was booked on the day we were to run. also, i hurt my foot and that really slowed me down. i decided to run less and add bicycling for my weekly workouts. i am already a good swimmer so i thought why not a triathalon. my first one will be on may 26, memorial day. it is in nashville, so it should be fun. i am hoping i will find someone to run it with me. i am new at this for sure. we will see how it goes. yesterday i rode 10 miles and ran 2 miles. it was tough. anybody wanna come to nashville and run this with me???

the miracles show begins

last night we did our first miracles show. we are so excited about this show. it went great. usually the first show is tough and sometimes sloppy. last nights show was so smooth. we could feel the prayers as people were praying for us. here is a little of what people saw last night at the first ever, "miracles show".

i began the show with a ball of fire. i did a new version of water to wine. i showed the audience what people would have seen 2000 years ago. the highlight of the night was when i created a new special effect i call, "the storm". we created a storm and then well, the rest is a surprise for when you see it for yourself. i spoke about the miracles of jesus and talked about the theories of how people think he did his miracles. it was an eye opening night for many who attended.

after the show i had a lady tell me that she was shown that there is something special about jesus. it was a reminder of who her savior really was. that was the best compliment i could receive. i got a chance to do a show that gives huge glory to God.

pray for miracles

ok. its finally here. we have been working on this for over 2 years. tonight we will introduce "the miracles show". our new show is finally about to be seen. all of our hard work is done and we will see what God will do. i am not worried about it but i have an urgency to pray for it all. i have a new crew working with us to make it all happen. we have all new equipment and all new material. its a ton to handle. i do know that God gave me this show and i know he will use it in a huge way. i sometimes get ideas that are good. sometimes i get ideas that are great. and sometimes, i get ideas that are straight from the throne of heaven. this show is going to make a huge impact on the church. we are praying that this will open peoples eyes to the life of jesus. we have realized that many people who are believers do not really know much about jesus or his miracles. pray with us that this new show will be historic. i am so excited about what is going to happen tonight.
